Robbie (Basho was his stage name) was a sincere spiritual seeker who spent time in India and was lucky enough to have had Meher Baba's darshan there in 1969. He was a Sufi, a gentleman, an eccentric genius, and one who's feet were never really on this plane. He died in the late 70's or early 80's. God bless you Robbie wherever you may be.
Well thank you for this....I found a copy of Robbie Basho's " The Falconers Arm" in the library when I was a kid, subsequent research turned up little, then other distractions....I can't thank you enough for posting this and thus allowing me to " find" Basho again...just amazing!!!!
Basho was, is, and will remain the sensei of twelve string solo guitar. It is wonderful to see a new generation of maestros springing up from his roots.
Basho was a great man because he followed his heart down an untraveled path with disregard to media attention or fame and his quiet voice still lives on.

Robbie Basho´s unique style and feel comes right from, and goes right to, the heart.. Even on piano (Druze) he is magnificently unique.

@meherbaba01 he died from a stroke in 1986 following a botched chiropractic treatment - so much for the spiritual path
