  • The answer to 'can I use dye between etching?' Sure, just plug the egg with the Pysanky Plug and dip it in vinegar, dry it, then dip it in a dye, wax off the color you want to save, then etch the egg again. Remember each time you etch an egg the shell becomes more delicate. Jim/PysankyUSA

  • I'm wondering; can you still use the dyes with this method or will there be a chemical reaction that prevents the two methods of coloring to occur on the same egg. If it can be done with "The Works" and your dyes are there any extra steps involved? Thank you, did this in high school and always wanted to get back into pysanky egg decorating.
