I have a mostly maxxsonics setup. Hifonics 5x7's crunch p1.1000.1 and kicker cvt 12. I really like that your stuff is good quality and quite cheap compared to other brands. Keep it up maxxsonics
@bkmTEC Odd, we haven't produced any Crunch amps that are blackish/green in color. The new GPV series amps are a flat black and have red illumination.
I worked on this van many many long nights. It was (8x) Olympus subs and 8 GP3000D-Pro's on 16-18V. 6th order series tuned bandpass. The amps weren't even in the van until noon the day of finals, and weren't even wired up or tuned at all until the van was at finals. Heck, the batteries weren't even in the van until the day before.
So, I bought the B10D2 subs. Bought 4 of them. I want the best enclosure for those subs. Which would be best for a good mix of tight and punchy and loud bass? I was originally going to go with a sealed enclosure to achieve the tight and punchy bass, but I am now thinking about going with a ported box. Any recommendations? Which box worked best for making them sound best. Thanks.
i have a 1000.2 crunch amp like that. LOVE IT!!! it pushes my cvr HARD! need to get a video of it. need a camera first. hha but im thinking about getting a 2000.1 Crunch. and 2 12s. Havent decides on what brand yet. nothing to expensive though. what should i get? o is the 2000.1 has the terminals that you screw the wire into or need a spade connector?
@MaxxsonicsUSAInc what kind of amp would you reccomend to push two hifonics olympus 12's? i am planning on putting them into the bed of my 49 ford truck.
@MaxxsonicsUSAInc why discontinue a good product im guessing their coming out with something better or alike. i came across a website still selling them and its for $529 shipped is that good?
@twista200317 Pretty much all of our products have two years in the market and then we redesign. The GPV series replaced the GP series but we did not release a replacement to the GP3000D-Pro in this lineup.
@twista200317 The GP3000D-Pro was rated rms as it was a competition amplifier. The rest of the lineup is MAXX rated, rms is half of the listed power as are all Crunch amps. Class A/B amplifiers are much cleaner than Class D amps and will produce more usable power and higher SPL compared to identically rated Class D models. BUT, Class A/B are inefficient and Class D amps are very efficient. This is why it is rare to see Class A/B amps over 1200wrms.
@MaxxsonicsUSAInc yeah i was just about to ask so why dont they have class a/b amps with more power. what you mean by ineffcient but you just said its kinda better than class d so what you mean by inefficient and efficient?
@twista200317 Efficiency is valued by how much power is used by the amp the make a specific amount of power for output. (Input vs Output) Class A/B's are typically 60-75% efficient. Class D's are typically 80%+ depending on the impedance they are being run at.
class d/ superclass D is cleaner and cooler running than a/b. class a amps produce a creamy distortion, what you would want for a guitar, class a/b is like house audio, class d is good car audio, and super class d is amazing car audio lol.
and would the gpv 2000 power two 15 inch kicker CVR, if i ran amp at 1 ohm? they are 4 ohm dual voice coil, and max rated rms power to them is 500 watt rms each.
@UNSTOPPLE9 Are you referencing Steve Mick? If so, both of their systems have changed alot since that finals. But on that day Steve Mick actually won the SPLMAX trophy and did very well in Bass Race. At that time Eric had a higher burp, but I think Steve had the more consistent Bass Race runs from what I remember.
@twista200317 Actually you couldn't be more wrong. The GP3000D-PRO is the only rms rated Crunch amplifier. It was 3200wrms @ 1 Ohm and 14.4V. 5200w @ 1 Ohm and 18V. All other Crunch amps are rated at MAXX power and rms is half of the listed power just like the other brands we market them against in the industry.
well the other models say rms power 1500 or 2000 the powerzone models. so your saying only the pro models are the good ones? i mean i have looked up alot of these amplifiers and people that own them say they get hot and turn off. and if these was such great amplifiers dont you think more people would own them other than going for the better named brand models. i really dought they put out that much power for that little price. an if they do right on
@twista200317 All of the Crunch amplifiers are MAXX Dynamic rated as listed in the manuals and our website. Not sure what site said rms. RMS is half of the rated power. As with any amplifier, they heat up if they are set improperly and have high clipping or are experiencing low voltage drop.
@MaxxsonicsUSAInc yeah one website said 2000 rms for the powerzone i guess they didnt show that its 2000 peak. i went to crunch website and i seen they made the ground pounders to take up the bad name crunch had. and another thing there not fan cooled which i know alot of amplifiers arent which i dont know why if they know its gonna get hot. so only 2 amplifiers are good the GP2000 and the GP3000. all others are max amplifiers
@twista200317 Curious why you feel that max rated amplifiers are bad? We do it with Crunch and some Autotek models because other companies do the same and have for years. They are very reliable amplifiers and very affordable due to the volume that we produce. People generally purchase what they can afford which is why we have 4 brands that are set at varying price ranges. Oh, the GP3000D-PRO was produced as a competition amplifier for our friends in dB Drag, MECA and USAC.
twista200317, what has as much bearing on the outcome of a stereo system is the compotence of the person installing it. most people think the gain control is a volume control and turn it all the way up. the gain control is for matching the signal from the cd player to that of the amp. most people turn the bass boost all the way up, which causes distortion. both those things cause overheating. most people ASS/U/ME they know what they're doing, and that makes an ASS out of U and ME.
2x Olympus hurt bad i can't image how 9 sound like i guess pretty sick upgrading soon 2 4x OLM 1612 nice vid but u could display the amps a lil nicer ;)
It's a POS setup cause that kid doesn't know shit about car audio lol.. So the best thing he can say is its a POS.. Guess he has no idea how hard it is getting those extra db's between 150-160 and onward.. I know IT TAKES A LOT!
killacityking21 ur an idiot !!!! talking shit on this video. 164 is strait slappin when yours is absolutly horriable, all i heard was rattle and its not even loud
I think you misunderstand the description. This is an SPL vehicle with 9 subwoofers and 6 amps. Each amp is 3000watts rms. He has 3 linked pairs of these amps and each linked pair is powering 3 subwoofers. That provides 2000watts per subwoofer.

They are either the MB Quart QM200Tx3 or QM210Tx2. I don't remember which ones he picked up. They are a discontinued model from about 5 years ago. We had a skid of them 3 years ago that we sold during our open house at the dB Drag/MECA event.
Thanks, figured they had been discontinued for some time. Im sure you guys dont have any NOS ones? I also just noticed that Justins (aka teamsubgopoof) has 4 of the QM210Tx2 for sale.

Hey Gene you all did good this year, espiecaly with Eric's new van. See you next year in Ohio MECA. Yo and whats d00d's name that drinks them beers al dah time? He silly...good guy thou.
Eric did 161.4dB at the headrest in MX3 and 135.8dB in Drive By 5 at MECA World Finals. 1st in both classes as well as loudest SPL of Finals as well as the Gates Cup winner for the 2nd year in a row. Way to go Eric!
