i watched it when i was 10 i was trying to watch every ghibli studios movies i could i cried for like 50 minutes straight after i relized they all died and saw the ending crementation with the little sister then i watched a video that showd parts of this movie along with the song held i cried even more and sometimes i just cant cry so i think of this movie

I watched it 3 & half times... yes I was unable to continue the first time i tried to watch it.. but managed it 3 times since.. even throu the waterfall of tears that flowed...
I not really a Jackson fan but what a perfect pairing...
Yeah. If fireflies represent souls having left the body, then suggesting a grave for them really reflects on the despair of the Japanese people in those days when they were held captive (mentally) by the military leaders, and the suffering of innocent civilians.

It was really hard for me to hold back the tears i had in that class that day.
