Just for some clarity, Redtail was a tortoiseshell tom, rare as he had kits. Tortoiseshell toms are rare, and the fact he has kits is even rarer because they are normally infertile. Just if that helps.

select the lineart layer, fuzzy select outside the lines, grow selection, then erase on the color layer :)
