  • Geez that takes me back. When a dead engine start was a challenge to see who could get their bike started, and who forgot to turn on their gas petcock, smoke at the end of the bomb run, lining up with a BSA 441 with strait pipes on on side and a Hodaka Ace 90, toaster tank, on the other. Creosote, bean oil and lots of dust. Scatter my ashes on the bomb run.

  • My uncle and lots of family friends were members of the Spoke Benders back in the 60's-70's... I remember going to the races and riding my Yamaha Mini-Enduro 60 around pretending to me one of the racers. I got lost once during a race at Soggy Dry Lake at 8 years old. I was lost most of the day and pulled in to a check point to ask directions. They thought I was crazy being out there alone. I followed a guy back to the start/finish line who had a flat tire. Got back to camp as I ran out of gas

  • My dad raced desert bikes in the 1960's. He was a member of the Spoke Benders club. Good to see those days again. Thanks.

  • The audio is completely out of character with the vintage of the video. It doesn't work.

  • EXCELLENT!!!!! The good old days of open desert, no fences and good dusty fun.

  • SICK FOOTY! Thanks for sharing!

  • damn i see some checkers!

  • that is some sweet vintage footage --- was there no audio? It would be cool to hear the motors and spectators.

  • 1960's hand held 8mm camera, no audio.
