  • @KingDavid73 I'm pretty sure they just use those compilation games like Midway Arcade Treasures or Namco Museum.

  • thank you for mentioning where you play some arcade games. I really like to know what arcade collections are out there. You say you don't use MAME, so where did you play Street Fighter 1 if it wasn't on the TG16-cd?

  • Speaking of ads, as a 6 year old kid at the time, I remember them placing Marlboro billboards which was hilarious. I don't smoke though. I guess their ad failed to hook me into their product.

They also had Penzoil and Pepsi. And I don't remember anything else.

But now, I prefer other racing games as I probably would play this one like once every blue moon with the earth, sun and moon aligned.

  • This was one of my favorite games on the Namco Museum game for my Gamecube. I always found it very fun to play. This, Galaga, and Dig-Dug were my favorites.

  • this was the first racing game i ever owned for the atari :D

  • Used to LOVE this game!

  • Ahhh... Good ol' AAA. Back when I played the original game I didn't know how to put anything else in so all my high scores were also AAA.

  • My favorite was Nigel Mansell's F1on the SNES

  • Namco speedway looks suspiciously like Fuji speedway 80's...

  • @Mike010ekiM That's because it is.

  • Anyone wondered how that chick who talks at the end of the race looked like?

  • Poll Position was AWESOME SAUCE!!!

  • the name if the game sounds dodgy

  • This game is a boring turd that has aged exponentially since its debut, but still gotta pay homage to games like this, as they laid the groundwork for games like GT, Forza, etc.

  • man check the add for this game and try not to yell: POLE POSITION!!! every three secs XD

  • this is better than most racing games today... and i started gaming in 1998

  • The basics of racing games really haven't changed all that much.

  • wow looks awesome for 1982 Oo more objects and some details and it could be a snes title from the early 90s

  • AAA must be an awesome gamer D:

  • one of the very first i played in my childhood! awesome memories! :)

  • Don't be a REAL JERK! Go and play some POLLLE POSIIIITTION!!!

  • "PREPARE TO RAGE" that is what i saw

  • It may not have the depth of a modern F1 sim; that is why it is way, way better than a modern F1 sim.

  • 17th.

  • @28steryan fuck you!

  • Prepare to qualify!

  • huh huih huh. Pole.

  • Is this the Plug and Play version? Because it is not a true Arcade port. At least the Museum versions have toggle switches like the real arcade machines.

  • I'd rather crash into an ad for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

  • I prefer the Vectrex version.

  • Arcade? True enthusiasts play it on their Atari 2600.
