thank you for mentioning where you play some arcade games. I really like to know what arcade collections are out there. You say you don't use MAME, so where did you play Street Fighter 1 if it wasn't on the TG16-cd?
Speaking of ads, as a 6 year old kid at the time, I remember them placing Marlboro billboards which was hilarious. I don't smoke though. I guess their ad failed to hook me into their product.
They also had Penzoil and Pepsi. And I don't remember anything else.
But now, I prefer other racing games as I probably would play this one like once every blue moon with the earth, sun and moon aligned.
This was one of my favorite games on the Namco Museum game for my Gamecube. I always found it very fun to play. This, Galaga, and Dig-Dug were my favorites.
This game is a boring turd that has aged exponentially since its debut, but still gotta pay homage to games like this, as they laid the groundwork for games like GT, Forza, etc.
Is this the Plug and Play version? Because it is not a true Arcade port. At least the Museum versions have toggle switches like the real arcade machines.
@KingDavid73 I'm pretty sure they just use those compilation games like Midway Arcade Treasures or Namco Museum.

Ahhh... Good ol' AAA. Back when I played the original game I didn't know how to put anything else in so all my high scores were also AAA.

It may not have the depth of a modern F1 sim; that is why it is way, way better than a modern F1 sim.
