In my studio, students learn the bow hold very quickly using the Bow Hold Buddies[tm] bow accessory.
The accessory keeps the hand relaxed and fingers in place while we learn more music.

.... Wow! Uses dynamics at 3? She doesn't even need to watch her fingers, on top of that, her bow barely crosses over the finger board. You go sweetie! very good!
