  • @babayabadabadu good point.

  • even in a movie situated in Russia, the country hick has an American hick's accent... wow, that's Hollywood for you, lol

  • I said it before but Sig Rumann is hilarious, and I love the guy who suggests that his favorite sister's son might be too dumb for the position.

  • Thank you! thank you so much for sharing!!!! 5*

  • Thank you for sharing

  • How many Oscars did Sig Rumann win?

I don't know the answer but it better be many.

  • where have movies like these, gone? now it's all f this, and f that. so sad! i miss the olden days!

  • anyone know if someone has put up a royal scandal from 1996?

  • OMG. Youtubers are the best. It's a great thing to be able to see the classics of art, moving pictures, and see it without commercials.

I don't know how long it will last but it's wonderful and it gives people an opportunity to see great art, something not seen in the theatre, or even on CD.

  • Funny how three involved with this film (Preminger, Bankhead & Price) would all end up playing villains on the campy 60s Batman series many years later.

  • Great fun, love Tallulah! Thank you for a delightful evening!

  • Is that Tallulah cursing the guy out in that foreign language at the beginning? Sounds like Russian..which I guess would make sense LOL

  • She said : Old devil ! Old fool ! Thief ! Pot-bellied crook !

That demonstates Catherine's vocabulary, I guess.

  • @Vensanna I think Tallu would outrank Catherine in a cursing duell ! No one can top Talllu !!!

  • @DiabolicalAngel I have no clue, what language this could be. I have a little bit russian knowledge (on roadkill level), but it sounded for me not vvery , more like "Hollywood-Alien-YaketiYak".

  • @DiabolicalAngel KtG was a german princess: born in Stettin, Pomerania, Prussia on 2nd May 1729 as Sophie Friederike Auguste von Anhalt-Zerbst-Dornburg. If she had cursed in a tantrum she would have used the german language. I understand German utterly (native speaker) and can swear, it's absolutely not German ...

  • Very cleverly written, & unusually risque for the time.. Now I know why Tallulah Bankhead was so respected as an actress. She is superb!

  • This is funny!

  • Absolutely superb Alfred Newman score!

  • I agree. its such a great score.

  • Well, thanks for the post! Recently went through the tedious process of uploading one of Lubitsch's (less costumed) classics myself: "Design for Living"

So if you're interested click on me.

  • Oh my, this is total hot mess fabulousity!!!! Thanks for posting!

  • wow! thanks for sharing hon!
