  • 13 likes and i'll sing this song at my school talent show <3

  • Going to be singing this when it starts snowing, and of course moving around to it, I just need a puppy

  • I can hold a note that long!

  • is it sad that I am listening to this song to cheer me up whilst writing an extremely dull essay about why people were discontent with the Tsars autocratic rule leading up to 1916? and it's making it more fun?

  • I've forgotten how wonderful my childhood was until I watched Anastasia yesterday.

  • wooooow i clicked on this and youtube changed its layout and everything lol love this song i kept singin it today and i just had to search it when i got home from school XD

  • <3

  • Love this song!!!!!! :D

  • WTF

  • It's funny how horrible music has gotten, luckily there's memories

  • I love this song, espeically love singing along to Anastasia one of my favourite disney films. And I'm a disney addict :D

  • @DarkAngel66647 Anastacia isn't Disney, it's a Don Bluth Film... from the same people that did the Fivel, Land Before Time, and All Dogs Go To Heaven movies. I will say it's the best Disney Movie NEVER made and Walt might be turning in his grave with all the songs that are in this movie (Once Upon A December notably).

  • @RobPer2011 more simply.. its a 20th Century movie :D

  • @DarkAngel66647 This movie surprisingly has no association with Disney... common misconception.

  • @rootbeeronbroadway Actually, Don Bluth worked on this movie and he had worked at Disney on The Little Mermaid and a few other movies. So there is a connection between the two :] It's kind of funny, because the only good non-Disney animation movies have people who worked for Disney in them.

  • I wish the real Anastasia survived. So the communists had a problem with the czar; that should've been between them, not the entire palace's. So sad :/

I LOVE THIS MOVIE though! :D

  • I'm actually in tears lol. Its just the memories of being that age you know. Kids may have technology and that, but these are classics, and the films they have now will never compare.

  • More than 2 months later, still only 6 dislikes. :)

  • thumbs up if you dance lyrical this is the song and you love it and u got the cutest costume ever

  • 6 people were deprived of an actual childhood ... or just insane, either one :)

  • 14 years later and I still remember all the lyrics

  • Comment removed

  • @Daweeb1234 i still watch it like once a month. this is one movie i will never get tired off !

  • @CrazyCarly2000 Rasputin was his name.

  • I don't know why but it just makes me wanna cry

  • @lexietss It such a beautiful melody

  • 6 people never watched this movie :-\ WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!

Or maybe the bad guy (I forgot his name) and Bartok made 6 accounts to hate this song.

  • i havent seen this movie for 8 years!!!!!!!!!

i still listen to the movie's song regularly..... but not the movie~ :(

    need time to watch~!

  • I'm 13, and every sunday & tuesday when i go to me Grandma's i watch this movie.....

  • This movie in particular takes a lot of artistic liberty. All of the Romanovs were killed by Bolsheviks in 1918. Urban legends went around that Anastasia may have survived- and many women claimed to be her, but it's not true.

  • In french class my name is Anastasie .... :3 I wonder why..? This movie DUH! ;D

  • @yoshilover442 :'( i was going to get that name..But i got Juliette instead, Because some chick got it before meT_T XD <.<

  • @MaceACannibalCupcake :( Maybe next year you will! :D

  • this is deff a song you can put perspective in life! :) love it always singing along with! :)

  • Ok so i listened to Ones Apon a Deceber before this thinking it had to be the best song from this show. i looked at the view list, and was shocked to see that a video had 344,120 vews and OAaD only had about 15,000. I thought there was no way this song could be better. I then listened to this song, and have to say it is a great tune.

  • @linkomega123 what's this movie about?

  • @princeofdarknessxyz1 You never watched it? Well it has been a while so i might mess up, but as far as i can remember thias girl bumped her head trying to get away from a genoside of her family, and then got separate from them. She has no memory and grew up as an oprhion. The bad guy is upset that he didn't kill them all,a nd that she even killed him when she was just a little girl so he is trying to kill her while she is trying to just find her family.

  • @linkomega123 so this is a truth story?

  • @princeofdarknessxyz1 I guess so, not sure. Why not google it?

  • whose voice is this?

  • @missanotherwoman Liz Calloway/Callaway (I'm not sure of the correct spelling)

  • italian version is better

  • @tripps173 What is it called in Italian?

  • @GONEmypurpleflapjack

    cuor non dirmi no

  • @AshantieRocks thank you.

  • @tripps173 -_-

  • .....this was/is my childhood.

  • I wish i could sing this.... :(

  • hmmm would this be a good song to figure skate to??

  • i was six or seven when i first saw this movie. i haven't seen in it at least 5 years, but i still can remember every line :)

  • Is it just me or does this song remind anyone else of "My Junk" from Spring Awakening"

  • There's so much hope in this song.

  • i turned my life into a musical..

so i burst into this walking home :p and my friend saw me. and joined in like a pro :D

  • who wouldn't listen to this?

  • i luv luv luv lkuv luv luv luv this song!!!! <3

  • lazy-ass CGI jockeys need to start making traditionally animated movies again....

  • @MrGunsrFun You got it.

  • Can't stop listening to this song!!! So beautiful !! Thanks for uploading it !!

  • A whole new world

  • Got this as my solo in voice class and everyone else was so jealous, cant wait to sing it! <3<3 so beautiful

  • love the song

  • @newz2010 super duper

  • i thought by now this would of been made into a Broadway Musical

  • @Haiisuzanne why does that matter??

@melchoirmusician no freaking way!! How did I not notice that?!?!

  • Anya is voiced by Liz Callaway, who was an award-winning Broadway singer in the 1980s. Not only did she sing the part of Anastasia but also of Odette from The Swan Princess and Kiara from The Lion King. :)

  • @melchiormusician she was also jasmine in aladdin

  • @hersheykiss3659 Just in the sequels. In the first "Aladdin" film, Jasmine's voice was sung by Lea Salonga.

  • @melchiormusician i voted down on this :( pushed the wrong button :(

  • She sounds like rapunzel from tangled almost!

  • @MiakoKoneo Didn't Flynn remind you of Dmitri? That movie is actually why I started listening to the soundtrack and re-watched Anastasia.

  • I got goosebumps :)

  • 6 people clearly didnt have a good childhood, just saying c:

  • 6 people click the wrong button :/ like if you agree

  • Pia Mia Brought me here!!

  • like this if your singing along

  • @187sapphire hell yeah! im singing along right now!lol^^

  • @187sapphire I'm singing this for my Voice Class!

  • Thumbs up if your reading this comment in 2012.

  • @pingnaomi

    Sorry, it's 1952 here. :/

  • Fox Animated Studios at its best right here ladies and germs!

  • I watch this every Christmas! I can't wait to watch it with girlfriend! :)

  • I love this song!!! memories!

  • BRAINFU*K! I used to play the melodie on my guitar and I thought "hmmm where is this from again..." I totally forgot that I even watched this movie :D

  • @KeesusChrist yes someone has, but thank you anyways!

  • Sounds like Jody Benson.

  • does anyone know where i can download this? :3

  • @MajoberLand Itunesstore? or piratebay ;)

  • @MajoberLand Install realplayer on your pc and you can download this. You can also convert this to MP3 using the same player

  • who plays the voice for Anya/Anastasia? It sounds like anouther cartoon character i know

  • @crazymusicalgoof7 Meg Ryan was her speaking voice and Liz Callaway did her singing voice.

  • @pmcmahon26 dude thats awesome, i love meg ryan

  • @crazymusicalgoof7 You probably was thinking of Ariel from "The Little Mermaid", that's who she sounds like. But someone already told you the answer >.<

  • This is a Don Bluth film, Not Disney. Don Bluth as in: The Secret of Nimh, Thumbelina...> > Not Disney. He copied the character and basic style of story arc/used to work for Disney---but this is absolutely Not a Disney film.

  • This is a timeless classic but Disney needs to seriously do this movie from their POV just to keep the Disney Princesses alive.

  • @SportsGirl234 I think that'd be a good idea, but.... I honesly do not Disney ruining one of my most favorite movies of all time lmao

  • @cutiepatutie261 The thing is that Disney wants to stop making Princess movies altogether because "little girls rather be popstars."

This is just a way to get classic Disney back.

    Anastasia FTW! ;)

  • @SportsGirl234 Do you realize that this isn't a Disney movie?

  • @flamingserpanite Yes, my point exactly. This is why Disney needs to do their version to keep the Princess movies alive!

  • @SportsGirl234 Too bad this isn't a Disney movie.

  • What a uplifting song!! I MISS THIS SOOOO MUCH! <3

  • OH MY GAWD! I saw this in the link and my heart almost stopped. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SONG! :DD <3333

  • If you know, I simply love this film. And this annoys me also quite that the next year with us in Germany two new Snow White filmings come out. I mean, do they haven't it any more everybody? We don't need something like that at all. Snow White were quite too often anew filmed. I want that Anastasia is filmed once more really anew! ;) And sorry for my bad english. I'm from Germany! :D And just, so besides, this is a wonderful song. <3

  • For the record. This film was never in any way associated with, or connected to the Walt Disney company. It was directed by Don Bluth, and it was animated at FOX Animtation Studios. Don Bluth also directed one of my other all-time favorite animations; The Secret of NIMH.

  • is a shame that the real anastasia was killed along with the rest of the romanov family, kinda makes for a downer ending doesn't it?

  • @Shakduhn

It really does! The reason everyone thought she could be alive was because when they found all the skeletons Anastasia and her little brother were missing. But there was someone who found a note ordering two of them to be burned so it was probably them.

Still there is kinda a little part of me that hopes they survived :L <3

  • @Shakduhn Ending? The movie is completely incorrect after like, five minutes.

But I get your point. I just wanted to say that.

  • @ejensen5295 well, one can easily tell the point of this movie is not to be historically accurate the moment you see the undead Lich and the Talking Bat on the opening sequence xD.

Much like you see it comming on pocahontas with the talking tree and all that.

  • Sorry, I guess you don't understand where I am coming from. I was just making a point about how you said it would be a downer ending, but if it had been realistic (there's nothing wrong with the fact that it isn't) it ironically would have been at the very beginning, the tragedy.

  • @Shakduhn I learned in history just recently about the royal anastasia.. I seriously cried during the freaking entire class :(

  • I used to love watching all the different animated films with my big sister when I was little, over the years as I have gotten older I feel as If I have some how forgotten who I used to be and lost my way. But watching this brings it all back, it's like watching a family video or looking at old photographs. Strange..but in a good way.

  • I used to think that Moulin Rouge was my fave movie, but then I remembered Anastasia, then I was like "How could I have put away the memory of this marvelous movie?"

Anastasia will be my future family's heirloom, and if the kids don't watch it, I'll put it on and watch them cry about it's wonderful life-changing experience, so then they'll want to memorize the lines of the movie <3 :)

  • one of my favorite moives<3 disney should bring back the old moives....

  • @heylovex3 It... isn't Disney... Yup That surprised me too. It's Fox Animation Studios.

  • @RedScarfLuxio it was on disney once

  • @heylovex3 Oh I see... ^^

  • @heylovex3 this isn't disney....

  • 12 years ago, a little 6 year old boy was the happiest kid on earth watching this. At 18, he still is.

Anastasia will be watched by my children and their children. The music, story, and voice talent are too brilliant to forget.

  • who is the singer featured on this song? thanks

  • Like this if your still listening to this in 2011

  • @AngelicaMTrinidad Dude, I'll be listening to this in 2020!

  • @xXPeppyWildfireXx Hahaha me tooo.(: I might dance this at my Quinceanera.

  • @AngelicaMTrinidad Awesome, hope you have a good one! x3

  • @xXPeppyWildfireXx Thank you I hope I do tooo'(:

  • @AngelicaMTrinidad No don't.

  • @fadedflage Why?

  • 1998 had some of the best music from movies ever..it brought us this, Go the Distance from Hercules, and My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. :)

  • I love this song and the movie!!!! i used to watch it over and over again when i was younger!

  • @bohdanya Well, it's very vaguely based on a true story. I mean the people were real.

  • When i was a kid this was the best movie... then i found out this is a true story...

  • wow i think i just sang this the best i ever had :) yay for being born in the 1990's! Our kids will be all like "DAMN you old!"

  • Finally i found the song that isn't blocked

I love this movie and i will forever will

this is my second fave song from the movie

I think i'm gonna watch this movie at 5pm and watch it until i fall asleep

  • And bring me home.............. AT LASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

    GOOSBUMPS!!!!!!!!!!

  • So beautiful. And such a horrible way Anastasia and her family were killed!!

  • I rewatching all my old disney movies and rereading all my childhood books. I am in high school but I'm trying to hang onto my childhood as much as I can before it goes away. I don't know if it is good or bad to be filled with this much nostalgia.

  • this song reminds me as a kid...always daydreaming of something magical...love movies like this...still do

  • 3 dislikes? Rasputin, why you be hatin?

  • my god this is my favorite princess movie ever...i think this came out when i was like 11 or 12...still luv this movie no matter how old i get!!! :D

  • whose this? liz or lea?? i'm confused..

  • probably the most amazing film i've ever seen, and its animated, i strongly recommend people who haven't watched it to watch it because its truly beautiful xx

  • No exit visa? NO TICKETS!!!

  • Thumbs up if you think this should be on Broadway. :)

  • @emopinata12345 I have been saying that for years. It'd be SOOOOOO successful!

  • @emopinata12345 The lady who is the voice of this song already does Broadway..Her name is Lea Salonga..I love her songs called-Someone like You and Two Words I Do..She is also the voice of Jasmine from the Disney version of Aladdin. (:

  • @Lullulove2 I thought Liz Calloway did Anya's singing voice. o.0

  • @emopinata12345 I'm sorry, my brain fart mistake. You are right it is Liz Calloway..Lea Salonga is the voice of Mulan and Jasmin but not Jasmin in the first movie it is Liz Calloway..However, both voice actress-singers are still very great.Again sorry, my brain fart mistake-Just a moment of mix up is all.(:

  • @emopinata12345 I would love for it to be on Broadway! That would be awesome! I would so go see it!

  • @emopinata12345 HECK YES.

  • @emopinata12345 ive been saying that for years!!!

  • A few good animated films that AREN'T Disney ---> All Dogs go to Heaven, Anastasia, Rock-a-Doodle, Cats Don't Dance, Rover Dangerfield, The Land Before Time movies, Once Upon a Forest, Secret of Nim, Ferngully, Annabelle's Wish, Spirit, Balto, Don Bluth's Thumbelina and We're Back: A Dinosaur Story

All good movies, some with better storylines than anyone of Disney's. Thats just my opinion tho :) I love Disney!

  • @AcrossTheUniverse66 i love all dogs go to heaven

  • Comment removed

  • Those 5 dislikes must be, Rasputin, Bartok, A Demon, The low voice Bug, And the mean guy who wouldn't give Anya a ticket to Paris because she didn't have travel papers...

  • I just searched grand duchess anastasia on wiki and saw a picture of her as a child in a dress that was almost identical to the one the cartoon anastasia wore at the ball, the one she fought rasputin in. It's amazing the detail of the film makers! I love this movie!!

  • @spaceshuttletomars I saw that to ! :D PS: I loved that scene (:

  • i watched the nostalgia chick review of this film and i kinda agree with what she said. although this is a brilliant movie and i'd never deny it, it was basically don bluth, the director and ex employee/long term enemy of disney putting up his arms and saying "okay, you win." because the disney formula of princesses and musicals etc is too irresistable for the public to resist and although he'd tried to make his mark by being different to disney, even he had to admit that. still, the movie rocks

  • 5 dislikes- Rasputun, Bartok, Mean Orphanage Lady, Green Demons and Disney

  • @SportsGirl234 Nah not Bartok he didn't want Rasputun to kill Anastasia in the end he just wanted to go the party lol and remember he said at the end "Your on your own sir! This can only end in tears!" =p how about the ticket guy at the train station? he was a ass XD

  • i searched about her, she died at 18 O:

  • Liz Callaway singing sounds just like Meg Ryan. So perfect for the singing voice of Anya. :D

  • whats the music for when Rasputins demons are unleashed? Not In the dark of the night, I mean when they turn on him after his relic is destroyed?

  • The fourth must have been Warner Brothers...they so jealous!!

  • It must have been just an honest mistake when they thought it was a disney movie...

  • I love the movie!!!! Although Rasputin is my own and most scary nightmare^^ I think there's no "bad guy" who's so... disgusting. But Demitri is cute xD And the story is wonderful.

This song is (after "once upon a december ( the melody!!!!!! <3) my favorite song. it's an optimistic melody . Hope you understand, what i mean ;)

Sorry for my bad english :P lg abend

  • heck yeah! i'd marry demetri! haha

  • This was the first movie I saw and paid attention to in theaters. I remember it so well. My parents took me out to Applebee's afterwards, and I remember how much fun I had playing with the Pooka and Bartok dolls that were given away by Burger King.

I was roughly four years old back then, and I'm going to be eighteen in October. I still love this movie with all of my heart and fondly remember the time I went to see this in theaters.

Also, this is my favorite song from the film. <3
