Hey man nice lara, i just started mine 1999 SLE V6 auto, so far i got the injen SRI w/the extension 2 convert it 2 the CAI, HID kit at 6000k, custom fog lights and shaved emblems, my nxt mods r going 2 b lowering it n tints, but after that i wana get the same exhaust u have, but idn if u have any idea but ur exhaust sounds different than the TRD muffler for the 1999-2003 version, is urs somehow different, also if it is do u think i could put ur same muffer on my 1999 solara?
I also like to add, I replaced the headers with the connection of my greddy cat exhaust. Much more high exhaust flow and a noticeable robust sound then your hearing aid assisted resonated cutoff sound.
What did you do for a high flow cat? I know headers are the first place to free up exiting air flow, but the only difference between a greddy cat back and 2.5" piping to a TRD exhaust is the muffler itself.
Sorry for snapping off like that to. To answer this Q, I installed catco catback high flow converter connected to headers and evo greddy exhaust. Shoot! I wanted to go straight pipe, but laws and back pressure denied me with the ear popping pleasure.
I know that the cut off resonator and your TRD muffler sounds weak, because I went there already with my fucking 99 SE Solara with a custom pulley and a Kazuma TRD Supercharger. I swtched the mother fucker off for a greddy exhaust. For your info that was a fucking stupid reply from you.
I didn't mean any disrespect, it is just that by removing the resonator and replacing with 2.5" piping to the trd exhaust becomes a cat back kit. Replacing the headers, cat and everything else including the muffler becomes a full exhaust set-up.
BTW I wasn't going for the fart can sound so I really could care less if it sounds weak. Until there is a charger made for the gen2 or I am willing to go the turbo route, I can't justify spending the money for a custom exhaust to net myself at the most an extra 25hp. With that, sounding loud in my case won't make any real difference in power...and I really don't want to give the impression that I think my 'lara is a civic.
i cant the exhaust you have for this car. Whered u get it>?
