I used to watch this show as a kid. Even then, when I heard 'brown thumb' I laughed and thought of a joke about how they should just wipe more carefully and everything would be OK.

In Search Of... was the best show ever. I used to watch this show with my dad when I was a kid, and it has influenced my life in two big ways. One, it inculcated in me an interest in unexplained phenomena. Two, its theme and background music placed in me a deep and abiding love of the Moog.

What would plants talk about? I imagine it would be relative to what Douglas Adams wrote. "He learned to communicate with birds and discovered that their conversation was fantastically boring.
