  • Man:aw fuck!!

    alien:omnomnom

    Man:AAAAAAA

  • I read this comic strip repeatedly as a kid. Mom always said I was a Calvin before my teen years. Now I'm 22. SIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH......... As for the clip, always wanted to see it animated. Great work.

  • Hey you know that is Turkish march

  • I like it

  • I loved the animation from the book, but I wasn't sure what was happening. Thx for animating it.

  • I remember reading this comic!

  • I remember reading that comic1

  • 

  • C and H RULE!!!

  • the last comic strip bill made, "It's a magical world"

  • @twoplus6is8 lets go exploring . . .

  • @grufeetywy . . . yeah!

  • @twoplus6is8 my heart just hurt for a second there ♥ so amazing..

  • Hehehe, I scanned and printed this comic ages ago and cut out all the little panels... but I could never get them to flip very well :(

    Thanks for the animation! :D

  • I was thinking about how it would look in a real flip book ;)

  • @wassomkeithley I know you're right, I was just remembering a four-year-old's dream.

  • awesome dude

  • i love this one strip

  • @Flapjack818 THAT IS NOT IT.

  • @Flapjack818 ...are you kidding?

  • no movie could match all of our expectations ... I'm glad (now) that he stopped when he did, and never made any animations ...

  • I wish that Bill Watterson would let people make a movie based on the strip. It would be nice to see my favorite comic characters come to life. Something I've been dreaming about since I was 4.

  • @TheBeatlesRoooock i think it would be a dissapointment, it would never sound the same as it does in our head, we each give calvin and hobbes a voice, and it would never match up in a movie

  • You're completley right. It would still be nice though. But yeah, I've been imagining Calvin and Hobbes with the same voices for years and years.

In my head, Hobbes has Norm MacDonald's voice.

  • Amen

  • I remember, Its a magical world.

  • I Love Calvin and Hobbes!!!

  • His dad says evreything calvin does builds character and he takes the fun out of ANYthing

  • i love Calvin and Hobbes i have some of their comics!!

  • Can we just get through a video about C&H w/ out someone ranting about waterson shoving the media, and how real/truthful but still stereotypical he was?

  • i love that one. :)

  • what song is that?

  • fur elise

  • it's "alla turca", the third movement of mozart's sonata #11

  • great clip!!!

  • This is great i love Calvin and hobbes!!!

  • Poor Calvin's dad. Did anyone know his name?

  • in the books calvin's mom and dad never had names. the mom and dad would call each other "dear" and they would call calvin calvin. hope this helps :D

  • Bill Watterson never gave him a name.

  • Bill never gave him, nor Calvin's mother a name.

He said that they were nothing more than Calvin's parents, therefore names weren't necessary.

It makes sense to me. Adding names to them would twist their role a little too much, we would see them more as adults other than Calvin's parents. It's a little distracting from the characters that already have first names.

  • Watterson, "the father was a senseless consumer obsessed prick. He was meant to portray the sheep that the massives have become, living day by day scheduled by a 9-5 job. The character did not deserve a name." haha I got that from this interview of him...pretty fucked up

  • But at least he tried to get Calvin to do well in school and such things.

  • And he was pretty darn funny at times!

  • this doesnt disgrace wattersons work.

    fucking great job, man, 5/5

  • OMG i was just reading it last night and i was wondering if i actually took all the pictures and put them together would they work and make a movie! it does! thanks for putting this up!

  • @googleboy314 Same here, But I didn't want to ruin my book.

  • I did this years ago! I never thought to post it.

  • you should've took out the last scene

  • Awesome. I once used one of those sticky-note pads to draw that flip book. It was pretty cool.

  • this is in the 16th Album from 1996

  • HAHA!

  • what is the music?

  • MUSIC is FAZIL SAY. Turkish pianist

  • Mozart's "marsch a la turka"

  • i read that in a calvin and hobbes book once!
