8:00 - A theory why good music, mainly stuff like this, is becoming less mainstream: Studies on bio-response to music show a relation between music enjoyment and higher dopamine levels. For this reason, I think the draw of music is its triggering of fight/flight response by mirroring stimuli we encounter less of in our sheltered lives. Most listen for a physical response only (dancing, fueled by bass-heavy club songs). This music is more suited for the more agile, varied mental response.
