  • There are quite a number of bands that come and go recently so I sure hope Howler isn't one of them. :(

  • Seen them live and met them before they played, really good band live and really nice down to earth guys, their keyboardist (Max?) was really odd to watch in a good way.

Yeah some of their songs can come across as Strokes-esque but that is music for you, every band has their influences, just like some of their songs sound Ramones, the rest sound like their own and considering this is a young band i'm sure they'll evolve out of sounding too much like The Strokes/The Ramones with time.

  • Heard it all before.. and better. Sorry boys.

  • this is the musical equivalent of asking Sven-Goran-Eriksson to give 13- 21 year old's a three hour lecture on scotch eggs, this is just potato to go in the NME spud gun .

  • Don't compare them to the strokes... This band hasn't got the same vibe, The strokes have got more power, better composed songs: better guitar parts, better vocal lines etc. and they have their own sound. Sorry but I don't find this band original enough

  • yeeeeeeeyeyeyy

  • If anyone is wondering the lyrics, I have just uploaded my attempt at a lyric video. Would love to hear what you guys think, could do with your help!

  • @raveemaster I'm fed up of people constantly whinging and whining about the NME promoting certain bands, like they're somehow being original. Change the fucking record. So the NME likes some bands more than others. Get over it for fuck sake.

  • rad!

  • im german and sometimes i buy the nme to search for some new british bands :D

i dont understand everything that is written in this magazine but some ?! articles ?! are very good :D

much better than the articles in our german magazines :D

    sry for my bad english

and thank you british guys for arctic monkeys franz ferdinand kasabian and so on ;)

did you british guys know beatsteaks or beat!beat!beat! :D ?

  • Meh....

  • @samizillaViaCarMelU i dont buy NME i said it because his demeanour is identical for a start and they do have similar singing lets be honest its like half-hearted singing on both parts and finally the bands both sound similar sooooooo :)

  • @aclarke508 Well Julian sounds liek Lou Reed too so I guess no one is original at all and people should stop all the comparassions in general and enjoy the music

  • NME need to stop licking these guys arses so much, and let people decide for themselves that they're absolute class. so fed up of people bumming bands just because NME says so.

  • The re-recording they did of this track on 'America Give Up' is fucking amazing.

  • So jealous of the people who've seen these live ):

  • the new julian :L

  • @aclarke508 just because you read that in NME doesn't make it true at all. he doesn't sing like julian, and julian didn't play guitar--Gatesmith plays lead. stop repeating what you've read and think your own thoughts ;)

  • This is fucking brilliant

  • These guys remind me do much of the strokes! They're amazing -3

  • reminds me of franz ferdinand :)

  • i have met their guitarist hes a nice guy!

  • Rough trade sign another gem, great band, I cant wait for the full album to be released in January

  • saw them as a warm up band for the vaccines. awesome live!

  • @TheHeanMachine11 i saw them also with the vaccines in oxford

  • Just saw them live last night :3 Fucking brilliant.

  • You're a legend for putting this on, I have the record so I don't feel guilty.
