Even to this day this movie is amazing on ALL levels. And it does have the greatest ending of all time. You love the T-800 and seeing him lower down into the molten iron to finish off the remaning chips is an amazing scene.

If that had happened, John Conner would fade from existance and thus the machines would win the war because there was no John Conner, but then Skynet can't be created if the original Terminator doesn't travel back to 1984 and get destroyed, so Skynet is never created and thus the war never happened and then my head explodes.

Think that: In the first part of the film the director presents the machines as our destrutors, as the nemesis of mankind, the next step in evolution. ( the human world lies in ruins, the terminator skull appears from the flames ). In the end of the movie you end up feeling sympathy over a machine, that has become a father figure and a protector. What is the moral of this....? I believe T2 is simply a great movie, its beyond the scope of a simple action film, its so much more than that.

Arnold is wearing the "terminator" prostetic and at one point, it peels off and he's like "Aahh curses... First, John doesn't want to let me die and then, I stop being a terminator. This sucks".

And when he says "I must go" then he starts to laugh an say "This sounds so corny. Can't I just jump in?" :'DD

They said that T3 was how (talking in terms of "In Universe", not from our, the Viewer's, perspective) Skynet was origionally had been was going to be (no typo) born, instead of the Free Lunch Paradox that's the plotpoint of this movie (ie: Skynet was first built because of the chip from the T1 Terminator, which was first made by Skynet).

The Skynet that sent the T-1000 is a different Skynet than the one born in T3.

A big Reason T3 failed is abolishing the emmotion from the first 2 films. In T3 Arnold chokes John as he yells out stupid machine & even before that John says "Now you were the closest thing to a father I ever had, how pathetic is that" Later Nick Stahl as Conner puts a gun to his head & says I can self-terminated I'm not some God-damn robot. All of this nonsense.I find it unbelievable that the writers went that route & on top of that left OUT the Great terminator theme! What were they thinking?
