  • Do you like my channel?

  • The Dodge Viper.

Separating the rich pretty boys from the MEN since 1992!

  • The video was just a big blur with changing scenes every 2 seconds.

  • The Viper is a pure breaded sports car no gimmicks no traction or stability control, Just a big naturally aspirated V10 with gobs of power and torque, huge grip and with the ACR package a supercar destroyer.

Dodge thought smartly when they developed the new ACR, instead of adding more power they went for handling instead, and it shows in comparison to the ZR1's Ring times.

Also you can't help but compare the ZR1 and ACR because they are in the same price bracket. Different but the same.

  • ZR1 is better than all vipers for many serious reasons

  • you suck man!!! if you dont like the VIPER dont look for in!!! it has v10 engine, 8,4L and is more beautiful than a stupid vette!!! the zr1 hasnt got anything like the VIPER!!! only more horse power!!!

  • i didnt say i dont like viper. but ZR1 is better for many reasons.wanna name them?

  • There are a few reasons the ZR1 is better than the Viper, interior, ride comfort, etc., but then so is a Honda Civic... the Viper is just plain FASTER than the ZR1, fastest street car ever on the 'Ring.

  • yes it is. i just would exchange a bit of performance for more comfort and safer driving.

Lets see how the new viper will look like

  • great video.......this car is deadly.

  • wooooooooooooow

  • V!PER is the KING lol that car smoked the GT-R and ur pussy vette big green snake is back

    AKA "THE BEAST"

  • After Days of research... ive come to the exclusion that the Corvette ZR1 is not the competition for the Viper SRT10 ACR. it has no competition at the moment... The ZR1 being a high performance sports car and the ACR being a high performance Track/Sports car. The ZR1's competition is the standard Viper SRT10 not the ACR. with that said you cant compare them...

  • I love the way you put that together, never have i heard someone who has knowledge as you on yuotube about the Viper.

form one Viper fanatic to you, good one!

  • Let's stick a supercharger on the Viper SRT-10 and see what happens then... All the ZR-1 is, is a C6 with an upgraded computer and suspension, and only then can it put out 620 hp when the stock SRT-10 pumps out 600 hp. Now compare that statistical information. I agree completely with GTSRBOY... Viper>Vette... No questions asked.

  • the ACR is a track/street legal race car. so its competition is a Lotus Exige S 240 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Noble M15, Those cars are the competition for the Viper SRT10 ACR. not the ZR1.

  • and in conslution, the ZR1 is just a C6 with a supercharger slapped on it. No thanks

    Viper>Vette

  • yeaaaah you're right dude !!!

    GTR AND VETTE SUCK ASS

  • the viper isn't all that great.... its an awesome car no doubt but i don't think it can compete against the ZR1

  • it's prettier and faster at the Track(ACR)

  • its acually 3.5 0-60 and 1/4 11.6 it does say 11.7 watched a thing on tv it hit 11.6 on 1/4 top speed over 200mph. this video is fucking awsoem though :) vette killer! bring on the z06... wait they already did.. and it got beat.. o well i guess it time for the supercharged zr1... its fucking sad that they have to supercharge that vette in order to beat the viper. lol viper is all motor.

  • all motor with 2 extra pistons and 8.4L engine fucking great :)

i love both corvettes and Vipers i think every one haves its own taste and personality

  • in what time to go from 0 to 60?

  • Yes! Yes! Yes! This is one gold video with a platinum starring...green & black...lolz.

  • The snake back in the game

  • Finally a car w/out the option of traction control, and thank god its the viper.

I guess Dodge went ahead and said it; no Sunday-driver, light-foot pussies aloud.

  • Ok im a fan of the viper and is my dream car. But the new vette comming out will be amazing. The ls9 pushing above 600hp is astonishing. How they would keep that to the pavement is beyond me. but as of now the viper is king.

  • Motive Mag is a great site. Very trendy layout, and great daily content.

  • paying full attention... to the car? XD

  • Eh, I love the Viper but that color isn't very flattering on it. I prefer any other color then that.

  • Splitted screen... for what!?

  • this car is way faster than Z06, 911 Turbo and ferrari 430 take that especially you Z06

  • Not trying to put words into your mouth, but if you mean that the 911 Turbo or the 430 are faster than either the Z06, or especially the new Viper, you are mistaken. I can assure you of that. :P

  • dont full yourself..this car isnt as good as you think..still a nice viper though

  • i bet you've never driven a Viper....

    btw...if you like GM...thats cool...

...cuz GM stands for Gay Men...

  • 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Base price $65,800 Price as tested $65,800 Vehicle layout Front engine, RWD, 2-pass, 2-door coupe Engine 7.0 L/505 hp/470 lb-ft, OHV 3 valves/cyl V-8 Transmission 6-speed manual Curb weight, F/R dist 3147 lb, 51/49% Wheelbase 105.7 in Length x Width x Height 175.6 x 75.9 x 49.0 in 0-60 mph 3.5 sec Quarter Mile 11.5 sec @ 127.1 mph Braking, 60-0 mph 104 ft Lateral Acceleration 1.05 g avg EPA City/Hwy Fuel Econ 19 / 28 mpg
  • I see what your point is poolmaster. The Z06 is stock on stock a bit faster in a straight line, but I believe that the Viper is a tad faster around a road course. The Viper may not be quite as good on the quarter mile but with the addition of VVT it's expected to be a little worse down low. From what I have gathered, the midrange pull and up top performance outdo the Z06 considerably.

  • On top of THAT, the LS7 block in the Corvette isn't exactly the best effort Chevrolet has ever put out. It is nothing but a modified LS1 block bored to hell and back. Its already maxed out as far as additions to performance may go. Mostly, at least. The Viper can handle oh so much more abuse as far as modifications go.

  • In the end it's up to how much money your willing to spend and what you like better. I have been fortunate enough to drive an 05 Viper and an 07 Z06 and would honestly still rather have the Viper. Even with the performance difference of the 05. It is a bit more comfortable on the road, and the transmissions in both of the cars are clunky. The Viper is just more FUN to drive and feels more commanding.

  • To conclude this opnionated statement, I would just like to say that yes, this was a bit biased, so I wouldn't rely on me as a decision to which is better. Just go drive and look at both cars and see what you like better. I just find the Viper to be a better car overall, and with the new Viper, they are supposed to pull damn harder up top than the Z06, which is saying something if you've ever driven a Z06.

  • umm...the 0-60 time is wrong...its actually 3.7...and the quarter is 11.7...

plus...i bet you've never driven a Z06 either. the fuel economy is actually lower than that....and did you know that 1.05g is the MAX not average. Viper also brakes in shorter distances...has a better lat. G...and STILL has a 2v/cyl.

  • dcsdr. Your wrong. Within a year of vipers 1st auto show apperance a v8 powered mule was being tested to study vechicle dynamics. A few months later they built a cast iron v10 presumably from a ram and put in another "mule" or test car. In may 1990 dodge announced that viper would use an aluminum v10 to power the viper. Source i got this info from. DODGE. do your research

  • What are you talking about? Straight from Dodge as well the aluminum block placed in the viper was a joint effort between Lamborghini and Dodge based on Lamborghinis V8s at the time.

  • Viper = The best car

  • It's funny...some reviewers hate the sound of the Vipers. However, others like the way they sound. Ironically, the Car & Driver comparo was one of the most biased/subjective piece of journalism I have ever read.

  • Car & Driver said it best: sounds like a tuba having sex with a vacuum cleaner.

  • What a wild ride, makes me really want one now

  • Typical americans... Smoke, awesome drifts and heavy engines with technology out of the Stone Age. They need 8.4 Liters to reach 600HP, we can get that out of less than 3 Liters... I would love to see that boulder (1.533 kg) vs. an Audi Quattro 200 (Or a S1) with the same power.

  • Ya buddy, thats naturally aspirated, with potential for 1,000+ HP easily.

  • Typical Jeremy Clarkson type response. There is some interesting tech in the new Viper's engine. It's the first cam in block engine with variable valve timing. So, not only have they increased the horsepower (90hp) they have improved gas mileage (17%). Also, the only way you're getting 600 hp out of less than 3 Liters is via forced induction. If that's the case lets turbo the Viper. Tuners are getting well over 1000 hp with twin turbo set ups. Typical Jeremy Clarkson reply.

  • Europeans cars dispose of variable valve timing since 5 years ago (minimum...). 600 HP out of 8.4 Liter is a poor power/cylinder capacity raito for a sports-car i think.

  • Isn't Porsche a European car company? They're pretty proud of their VarioCam Plus system. It works the similar to Chrysler's Cam-in-Cam system. Finally, there's more than one way to make horsepower. However, there's no way you're getting 500+ foot pounds of torque out of a small capacity engine. Horsepower sells cars. but torque wins races.

  • There are more ways to get power, right. Porsche is just one example for one technology. However that may be... "Horsepower sells cars. but torque wins races." Torque wins races on a streight line like a Dragstrip. I think advanced chassis and engine technology wins races. Have a look at european car races. Ok, we can also take an american: The Pikes Peak race. Show me one, just one american car wich is nearly as fast as the europeans.

  • I think it's totally nonsense to build a car with a heavy engine wich was originaly designed for Trucks. It's not the real deal to have just power and torque (those V8 and V10 have much torque, i know!).

  • Btw: Have a look at the video "Audi 200 20V vs Viper". This is a nearly 20 years old Audi 200 Quattro with an 2.2 Liter egine with arround 100HP less than the Viper.

  • Allow me to list some: Ford Mk IV (The last Ford GT was all American), Mosler MT900 GT3, Saleen S7R, Dodge Viper GTS, Chevy Corvette C5R, C6R...need I go on? All the cars I have referenced have won road races from North America to Europe. Also, they are all have "heavy" V8s and V10s with in block cam valve trains.

  • Sure duddy! I never said that american cars never won races, i just said that the technical standart of european cars is higher. For example: Audi made a track Record on the Pikes Peak race, an american Race with much american cars. Till now, no other car with front engine cracked this record... Since 20 years!

  • Cool! I don't follow hill-climb, but that's great. This debate has gone on forever, but I don't have a problem with European cars. In fact, I like many. However, I don't believe American marques and cars are given the credit they deserve. Could they be better? Yes! But the "Big 3" and some of the boutique builders have great offerings.

  • And no the engines werent designed for trucks, the viper engine was designed by Dodge and Lamborghini from one of Lamborghinis V8 alluminum blocks. And guess who is dominating the Le Mans Circuit now? The Corvette C6-R its dominating the GT1/2 series so bad that Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche dropped out.

  • As for technology as Ive already pointed out europes superior technology couldnt get better fuel efficiency then Americas "inferior" tech. CGT 10/16 enzo 8/12 Murc 9/14 Porsche GT3(415hp) 17/24 Z06 16/26(505) 600hp/560torq 08 viper 14/24.

  • And Torque isnt for straightline racing you obviously dont follow racing enough. Torque allows for low end acceleration AKA flooring it out of a turn more torque allows for better and more continuous accleration. The viper has the best braking among ANY sports car the only sports car to do 60-0 in under 100ft. On top of that the viper and z06 are the MOST fuel efficient sports cars in their classes 16/26=z06 505hp 08 viper 14/24 600HP.

  • You sound like youve learned everything by listening to people who have anti american sentiments. The vipers holds world class records on the Le Mans circuit it dominated for the 5 years they were allowed to race. The 06 viper, z06 beat the Ferrari 430, Porsche 911T, Gallardo, Porsche GT3 around tracks like VIR, N-ring, Sebring etc. The 08 viper will most likely be just as fast if not faster then the Carrera GT.

  • Thank you dcsdr. Oh my god, thank you. Someone with a little common sense is posting about cars for once. European cars are great, but many things you hear about American cars are false. yes it is an 8.4 liter V10, but it is also naturally aspirated. Almost all European sports cars have forced induction of some kind. I'm sure if dodge Turboed the Viper stock you would change your mind on the power it makes for how big it is. :P

  • best

  • That car is amazing...

  • traction control not available hahahahha.

  • Sick

  • Nice; thanks.
