@GladmanUSMC iraq isnt the only place to be deployed as a grunt...grunts go through an entire enlistment never seeing 1 day of combat and spend 4 years doing lame boring tedious work...raking leaves...painting a building...they are a cross between a landscaper and a construction worker when not deployed. Even when deployed no promise to see combat :P

mendez got out and went into the IRR. then he got with a prior service recruiter that told'em he could join the arty unit as a non obligated reservist. meaning if he decided to say fuck it and check out, he could. plus you dont have 2 b arty , you can make your billet MOS arty n still be an 0311. we gotta dude that was combat camera n another that was an air crew chief, n they're both chuckin arty down range with us.
