If the body is split, would that mean that the bins are color-coded for the materials they hold?

if you mean the crates that each resident uses, then no, they aren't really color coded (or coded up to date). He basically just separates the paper/cardboard form the cans/bottles/glass on site.

If WM has advertising blurbs on the sides of their trucks, I really think they should be relevant to what that truck collects... for example, the blurb about saving 41 million trees would look good on this truck.

Yeah but that would probably be too much work, besides the fact that they probably often use one truck for different types of trash (eg: one day it's used for trash, the next for recycling). And I thank the one about the trees would be even better on the greens truck!
