  • I wish I could "like" this 100 times. Simply beautiful. I have been listening to it all morning, I can't bring myself to navigate away.

  • I've come here to like all the Nocturnes - they're amazing pieces!

  • Chopin at his finest.

  • I wonder why this kind of music has such a profound emotional impact on people

  • Gibboj94- No one 'naturally' likes anything. All preferences are a choice influenced by surroundings. Nothing artful is 'rebellious' in nature either. People just use that word as a substitute because its fiery. Choose on your own accord regardless of perception and normality.

  • @Havelneft False: people are born with natural inclinations to certain things...preferences are most certainly influenced by surroundings, but are not completely dependent on them. If that were true then parents could essentially raise children to be exactly how they want them to be. And please - ask ANY parent if their child is everything they expected or wanted them to be. The answer will never be "yes".

  • Chopin is one of if not the greatest pianist to ever grace the ivory keys!

  • I'm 17. Naturally, I like rock, rap, metal, punk, Alternative. But these days the most rebellious thing a teenager can do is listen to Classical. I have to admit, if it wasn't for a video game, (Eternal Sonata,) I wouldn't be listening to this. And my god, what a beautiful song!

    <3

  • @gibboj94 You are ruining classical music if you like it because you think it's "rebellious"...

  • @MacWillyFortunes You telling someone their reason for listening to classical music isn't good enough is ruining classical music.

  • @Anddrew914 Cool. You think it's alright for people to like music because they think it makes them "rebellious"? That's worse than liking something because it's "popular". What an asshole.

  • @MacWillyFortunes Yes. I do think it's alright. I also think it's alright to like music because it's popular. And there is nothing intelligent you can say to support your claim otherwise. "What an asshole" yes, way to make this personal. I think objectively you are probably the person who looks like the asshole here.

  • @Anddrew914 Agreed. Assholes are often right, however. I hate posers. This kid is the king of them.

  • wow i cant stop listening to this, so good, i wonder why this isnt more well known

  • In my opinion this version of this nocturne is the best. This version is by artur rubinstein

  • smooth and calming. i listen to chopin all day and night.

  • Love it...brings back memories from childhood, it's so soothing too.

  • Quand la mélancolie de la plaine polonaise rencontre le suave romantisme français: Chopin.

  • Wow this is one of my favorites, what a fantastic melody, thanks for posting it!

  • we know the 1 dislike was an accident...

  • one of the most wonderful nocturnes... no wonder why there are no dislikes!

  • @sevastouladance And then one troll heard you :(

  • @lorenc1000

haha! honestly I feel sorry for him/her, if he can't recognize the beauty of this piece, probably he's miserable:(

  • @sevastouladance *dislikes video*

  • wow this is beatiful

  • one of my favorites

  • Uno dei miei brani preferiti...

  • Incredible!

  • How hard is it to learn how to read music?

  • @ComplexCarlo to learn how to read is easy, but to play what is read is very very dificult

  • I'm learning op. 55 no 1 now, and I'm considering this one next, but the polyrhythms in the first section have me a little put off. Does anyone have any pointers?

  • @bushinarin

It's maybe too late but I have learned this piece (at least the first part) after only 5-6 months of piano and the polyrythms were quite simple to learned, easier than what I thought.

The trick is to play it slowly and to focus on a few "markers" where the 2 hands play at the same time

good luck ! it sounds so good

  • anyone else notice the strange fingering markings?

  • Stunningly beautiful performance of this lesser known Nocturne--thank you for posting with score!

  • @Wavewolfaroha No problem mate! Many of these are under appreciated.

  • @MISSANNOYINGHAHAHA

mozart is allot more difficult than Chopin imo! :) if you want to play it you could ask her? if you want anything is possible.

  • @RemovdSande11 Chopin is much more difficult than Mozart...

  • @KingdomMilk90

depends on what you intend to play doesn't it ;)

  • I would learn this song next, but my piano teacher's getting pretty annoyed by how many Chopin pieces I want to learn already... heh heh. Oh well...

Love this song anyway and always will.

  • ....awsome

  • That's right, there better not be any dislikes. <3

  • beautiful...

My teacher assigned me this piece, which came to a surprise to me since I play for a year now. But it got me very excited to do learn *walks to the piano.. ^^

  • @RemovdSande11 its been 2 years now that your playing piano, looking back, is this piece really that challenging? :P

  • @TamaNewb

nope, not at all ! :P Im playing mostly Bach''s Prelude and Fugue's these days. Once you go Bach,, you never go Back(H) xD
