@halobawss It wasn't balanced. This was the most likely reason. Elites and their Evade tends to be superior to the Spartan's Sprint in close quarter areas.

why is the slayer teams colored by thier team color in elite versus spartan?

I think it's pretty easy to see the difference between a human wearing a helmet with a visor and a huge fucking hunched up alien that looks like he's about to rape the dude with te visor in the skull.

Elites are biger stronger fatser can evade. Spartans are smaller weaker slower but have more powers (cloak hologram shield sprint jetpack) its ur choice i didnt play yet but i think there equal
