I don't know about this guy, but the way I mount my Gopro to my longboard is with the suction cup. I just have a few extensions that bring the camera to up over the top of the board so it doesn't scrape the ground. Works pretty darn good for me.

@TheJWSkate well it depends what is in the water and what kind of bearings you have. if the water is even the slightest bit muddy you are most likely to get said mud in between your bearings. it happens to me all the time but like i said it all depends on what kind of bearings you have.

You guys are all idiots. Pushing mongo doesn't even matter when it comes to longboarding.  A lot of people think it makes you, "worse", because in SKATEBOARDING, not longboarding, pushing mongo gives you less time to ollie or kf or whatever after pumping. Trust me, I skate and longboard.
