actually if you resurch history thier were cases of lycanthropy the mental illness back in 1800's the first case was a man named peeter stub then thier was mauel romasanta travling vender who murded women used their fat for sopes he sold he claimed he was a werewolf thses people were mentaly ill not true lycanthropes.

For some reason, the werewolves didn't appeal to me in this movie. I loved the movie though, but the best werewolves to me was in Bad Moon, American Werewolf in London, and the werewolf in the first Howling. But to each their own =)
