That last lap of Lee was around an astonishing 25 seconds. 10 000 meter stars like Kramer and De Jong wouldn`t have been able to follow, they don`t have that speed. Maybe Marsicano and possibly Davis could have followed him. I`m in favor of having this in WC, but still there should be some laps with the old system.

the distance of 14000m is incorrect. they are not riding 400 meter laps, all their corners are inner corners witch makes the laps smaller.

crypomusic: Sven Kramer is a time trial skater, the best one, but not a mass start skater because he lacks a sprint. Lets not confuse things, In Hollands there's at least 20 skaters that are better than Sven, in a marathon/mass start race like this.

@zorradone sven kramer certainly doesn't lack sprint, during some of his best 10 km's he skated 27,9 in one round while the one before was 31.0. thats a great sprint
