I believe the nut in Kevin's video is actually a pecan. Note the four sides and pointed ends of the husk. While the nut in your video is round with no discernable facets.
Looks like a smooth hull Buckeye.. Not edible by humans.. Cattle will eaat the and become intoxicated. They are no good for anything except for throwing them..lol..
Buckeye? Thats a new name for me. Born and bred in Northeast NJ these were refered to as Horse-Chesnuts and not very edible: That is, in reference the second nut displayed in or on this video.
I live in the South now. I used to live up North and ate a lot of Hickory nuts. The Hickory nuts in the South seem to be smaller. I think the answer to your question is a Buckeye, beautiful but not edible.
