Gastric Dilatation Volvulus (GDV) or Bloat in Dogs

i'm worried, im on the verge of calling my vets emergency number as its out of hours, but you say if its GDV then the stomach is blocked off from both ends/ because he passed wind, so it cant be blocked....but hes panting heavily, and coughing/puking up nothing....but he seems to be calming down.....

I have two dogs and a cat, who are very healthy, they get basic yearly shot and no more. They are kept very active and loved very well. Diet is on specific food that they are kept on since late puppyhood, and no human food. My point is, now they are throwing this GDV on pet owners who obviously get paranoid and will spend dollars on shot or pills which do not need to be. Proper care and traditional remedies can easily prevent this. And 30% mortality rate? Remember she is one veterinarian!!!!

Wow! I just came across this video through an e-mail. I would like to say how disppointing it is for Veterinarians now, to be taking advantage of Domesticated animals now, specially dogs and cats. I have noticed now more so than ever, and each year, there is a new shot also that they recommend to give to your dogs for preventing a list of things. You rarely hear, unless it is the two veterinarians I go to, traditional methods of keeping your dog healthy and or ways to prevent illness.
