Daft Punk are definitely the best mixing DJs I've ever heard, but, in my opinion, their songs are not the best when they are played alone. I'm not saying that some of their songs are great alone (One More Time, Face to Face, and Harder..), but most are so repetitive that they beg to be sampled and mixed and improve almost any song they're mixed with.
