If you care for these animals soo much why do you prolong their deaths? you say you gave them medicine and pain relief was that administered by a registered vet? I think that any vet that saw the way that animal was suffering the kindest way would of been to put in out of its misery not to wait for it to die and gasp for breath in a bathroom

@lisa33476 - BWF has taken in 1500 un-weaned baby bunnies since June 2008. We have an open door to the community and are eager to assist all unaware buyers who are lured into buying unweaned baby animals that in most cases die within a few days of purchase as they are not old enough make it without mother’s milk. The death of these animals causes a lot of distress for new bunny owners and their children, not to mention significant vet bills.
This is so sad. I just brought a bunnie from there a few days ago. Hes tiny, im guessing just a few weeks old. He is eating pellets and drinking water. Do i need to give him milk replacement? i dont want him to die! Please help!

There are several steps you need to take but if coccidia invaded liver, it's too late. If the bunny is having diarrhea, is listless better take it to the vet to give it some pain medication & possibly euthanize. It's more humane than letting it suffer....call us if you need help. Keep it warm, give it love, pet it...and help it transition!

I know they don't want to break the law.If I were their I would go in with cameras & pepper spray, in their face, take the rabbits, take dogs, set them loose on those who run with the rabbits in black plastic bags. I have volunteered at The Bunny World Foundation. You have no idea how hard they work to save baby bunnies like these. They take in so many bunnies. They have hope for these bunnies. They're not making them suffer. They spend their days tending to these animals and saving lives and finding homes for them.
I could never volunteer for that organization. they obviously do very fine work, but my heart just could not handle seeing all that terrible suffering. i could not bear even one rabbit dying on me. :-(
rabbits want to live, even if in pain, just as much as we do. we have no right to hasten their deaths. we have a moral obligation to prolong their lives as much as possible, or at least not actively make their deaths come quicker

oh man that is so hard to watch, i refuse to kill an animal or even a spider but if they are suffering and you cant save them then i would put them out of their misery. really i think you shouldve quickly broke its neck so that it didnt have to suffer anymore, i know its not pretty but it has to be done if you cant get it to a vet and euthanize it. poor thing, i feel so sorry for those poor things, ive had 2 rabbits 1 which is still living. those vendors need to be put in prison

@chinbunny1 -- I think we told you about MILLION times, that it' NOT us taking these animals away from the illegal animal vendors. It's LAPD. We take them from LAPD & Animal Control which would otherwise euthanize them upon pick up. Got it??? Why is it so hard for you, who owns rabbits and snakes, to comprehend that there are good people out there, doing the right thing and saving the little ones. @chinbunny1 -- for the record. The photos that we take upon arrivals are not posted. We were told by the vet that eyes usually open when they are 7 days old. Are you really going to argue with a rescue that saved 1050 babies in the course of TWO and a HALF years, and found 800 homes OVER THREE DAYS? Ms. Chin bunnny, you're something else! YOU OWN DIXONS RABBITRY, RAISE RABBITS FOR FOOD AND FEED THEM SNAKES IF THEY ARE NOT PERFECT. HOW DARE YOUR SLANDER A LEGIT RESCUE? ORGANIZATION?

No earlier! if they do(stupid idiot owners forcing them open) they go blind, or there is something severely wrong. At least I don't abuse mine by forcing medication into babies, less then a week old that could kill them! Im calling fraud, not slandering.

@chinbunny1 -- we have rescued over 1000 rabbits, and have routinely given them a course of 3 antibiotics as well as pain meds & more to keep them alive, it works, we do it every day. It's the only way to save the little ones from coccidia, pneumonia & such. They are fragile, but what would u know? U don't even have a vet! u own a rabbit farm? I hope you are born a rabbit in your next life & spend it with someone like you to experience the horrors you inflict upon the little ones...

For the millionth time - the bunny in the video is an exception, it was 99% dead when impounded by LAPD; this is what happens when people buy them from the street vendors; we have had a 99% success rate in the last year - hence, BUNNIES ARE NOT SUFFERING at our location, which is not what can be said about yours, let alone your bunnies' final destination - slaughterhouse, or snake snack. Your audacity to criticize the rescue is impressive!!

I have volunteered at The Bunny World Foundation. You have no idea how hard they work to save baby bunnies like these. They take in so many bunnies. They have hope for these bunnies. They're not making them suffer. They spend their days tending to these animals and saving lives and finding homes for them.

I could never volunteer for that organization. they obviously do very fine work, but my heart just could not handle seeing all that terrible suffering. i could not bear even one rabbit dying on me. :-(

rabbits want to live, even if in pain, just as much as we do. we have no right to hasten their deaths. we have a moral obligation to prolong their lives as much as possible, or at least not actively make their deaths come quicker

If you live in the LA area you should go donate or adopt. I live in OC and I went there to look at TONS of baby bunnies and I adopted two. They are so cute. It's worth to have a look at all the good things bunny world foundation has done.

oh man that is so hard to watch, i refuse to kill an animal or even a spider but if they are suffering and you cant save them then i would put them out of their misery. really i think you shouldve quickly broke its neck so that it didnt have to suffer anymore, i know its not pretty but it has to be done if you cant get it to a vet and euthanize it. poor thing, i feel so sorry for those poor things, ive had 2 rabbits 1 which is still living. those vendors need to be put in prison
