  • Your main shaft is bent.

  • I have two MSR's and my backup MSR was doing the same. It disappeared after replacing the swash plate.

  • My Dad's MSR had the wobbles aswell to the point where it was unflyable. It would life for a few seconds with no controll over it and then crashes. It turns outh the ribs holding the the flybar/blades/swashplate togetther were not all the same since we replaced they with ramdom ones that we had left over. We replaced all the ribs with the propers sized ribs and it's flyable now.

To everyone sugesting its the inner shaft might be bent. It can't be. Its carbon Fiber. if it bends it will Break.

  • Booooooooring

  • I have watched a few vids describing the exact same problem...my conclusion is it has have something to do with the main shaft....E-flite claims this carbon fiber version shaft will not bend,I disagree...Yes maybe it doesn't bend to the naked eye...I'd bet money if the shaft is evrso slightly of by even a half a millimeter, you'll get that problem....I'm trying to conquer a shake on mSR at the moment..Iknow u posted this a while ago,but what ended up being the problem...Thx for posting this.

  • that sucks, because mine never wobbles like that, unless after a good hit, then i push swash bearing back in and it's fine. as long as it flies good, doesn't matter. Happy flying! : )

  • @Wiiviewsowner no problem, but curious... did it work?

  • @Wiiviewsowner the swash can do that to the heli, all you need to do with a stock swash like this is, push the outer bearing housing firmly into the plastic swash plate, (all around.) usually fixes this. (until next crash.)

  • @Wiiviewsowner unbalanced parts would cause zero movement in the arms at low speed.

  • @Wiiviewsowner def the swash

  • worn swashplate!

  • its plastic prolly made in china get a metal swashplate

  • its the fly bar

  • or look at 0:09 we have our screw heads away from the flat of the shaft that holds the gear while the manual's explosion veiw has all screw aligned with the flat of the shaft. i will try this now before going out to buy bearings.

  • I was never able to fully stop the wobble. After posting the video, I picked up on what swiftay18 commented about and then offset the screws. However, the only thing real fix-action was to remove the MH grips. I liked the look of the metal parts but the weight and imbalance just was not worth it.

  • suffering the same issue still after trying all shaft balancing efforts myself, ex @ 0:10 seconds the swash dips right and all the screw heads face the dip. i opposed this leaving my anti-rotation screw opposite of the others direction. so facing the dip for anti rotation screw. ON-TO bearings! after i re-checked the depth-set of all of them in my new swashplate. being a shaft issue i am now wondering about the upper and lower shaft bearings, biggest friction part next to the motors. next buy?

  • Were you able to resolve this? I just got MH grips and my helicopter is wobbling in the air.

  • if you watch ths closey all the upgraded parts heavy set-screws are all on the same side of the main shaft which is where the weight offset is thrown to. offset the screws so that all weight is not central to the same degree on the outside of the shaft. hope this helps.

  • Alright, I've removed all the MH parts and the birds flies like normal again. I trouble shot the issue part-by-part and it's definitely the blade grips.

@streetspec1, you are correct about the hole diameter and I had already drilled it out the holes a little just to get the feathering spindle to enter. I've also replaced the main shaft but it's still shaking just like in this video.

  • I'm not sure how much it affects flying but it was there before the Microheli parts. However, since installing the new parts, the heli has developed TBE pretty bad.

  • @raptormstr If the MSR only does that with the aluminum Blade Grips, you need to widen the hole in it. Right now it has a dia of 1,2mm. Drill it to 1,3mm and it will fly and hover perfect. It just needs a little more slop. A dogs tail is shaking too and doesn´t fall off.. lol

  • @raptormstr I think your main shaft is also bent.

  • Does it affect flying? Did it start wobbling after you installed the Microheli parts? It looks like your main shaft is bend. Give a little more information.

  • @streetspec1 I doubt a CF shaft will get bent, though? I would suspect the swash. How about removing all the links and see what happens? Also, are blades/grips balanced?
