  • There is only one side to the Force--the side Chuck Norris is on. That is because he roundhouse-kicked the other side into oblivion.

  • no,, there is no life in space, Chuck Norris already found out, and clames full responcability. also, i belive that person in the hood would be... EMEROR PAPLIPIANO!!!!

  • i love wierd al, his facial expressions are great and his parody's are better than the original(and keep in mind i love american pie)

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • weird al is the best!

  • brilliant! what`s fake???

  • what are you talking about? fake? what?

  • there are not 2, but 4 sides of the force, the light side, the dark side, Cuck Norris, and Weird al.

  • awesome analogy

  • Chuck not Cuck

  • When I was little I thought American Pie was a remake of this song.

  • i have never seenstar wars so this is what i think the plot is

(so please let me be right)

  • Yes, it is pretty much. It is a rather accurate summary of the first episode

  • You hear this song, and you don't need to watch Episode 1. This song tells you the entire story of SW: Ep 1 in just under 6 minutes.

  • I've listened to this song for ten years, and it never gets old. Brilliant. XD

  • at 1:57 you can see yoda at the bottom of the screen!

  • haha, cool. I didn't notice that before!

  • hahaha i dont know why but this works hahaha

  • soon i am going to be a jedi :D

  • hehe

  • I love Star Wars and Al so this is the perfect combanation!!!!!! Yay Al!!!! Yay Star Wars!!!!!!

  • Al is SO clever! Love the dancing aliens in the club! BRILLIANT! parody and video! :-)

  • AL RULES! HE IS BRILLIANT!

  • KOJA FACA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He....kinda looks like Clay Aiken right there in the beginning.

  • If memory serves Weird Al wrote this entire song and released it before the movie hit cinemas, using solely the massive number of spoilers floathing around preceding the movie's release - which is truly hilarious alone considering it concisely narrates the entire movie.

  • Thanks for that information. :)

  • lol!

  • al should make another about episode 2

  • Brilliant.. Fuckin brilliant! :)

  • I love the song hes making fun of

  • He's not making fun of it. He's just using it for other fun purposes.

  • make a new star wars song like about the battles

  • look at 1:47 2:17 4:43

  • SO FRICKEN' AWESOME!

  • Al Is kinda hot in a way....*sigh*

  • wait sorry again meant 2:00

since the thing always lags aa few seconds

  • haha 2:03

  • wait i meant 2:02

  • no this song was released before the movie

he got the info from fan sites and to confirm all that he watched the premiere or something

  • which is pretty amazing

  • You know, he's actually pretty, no, *very* hot in this vid, without the glasses and the crazy hair...

  • I have to agree. The first time I saw this I couldn't bring myself to believe that was Al

  • ??? wow... never'd'a guessed

  • LOL And i like pie : }

  • My only other song I think is better than this is "Don't Dwonload This Song"

  • 3:42 is funny

  • Odd thing is...

Don McLean liked Weird Al's parody

But he didn't like Madonna's redo of the song

    OMG

  • maybe he likes star wars

  • 5:25 is cool

  • rock ruben

(the guy playing the piano and keyboard in concerts)

  • Weird thing is

This song was released just weeks before The Phantom Menace. And the plot is spot-on. o_O

  • Uh, Star Wars was a book first. Of course the plot is spot on......

  • They could have let them see it early, Star Wars Starfighter came out a bit before the movie had a code for a Naboo fighter.

  • The Internets say this song was released 2 months after the movie.

  • Your internets is lying

  • I love the ending theres so much of them

  • I've read part of an interview with Don McLean where he says he sometimes finds himself accidentally singing the lyrics to this song instead of American Pie in concert. He says the good thing is when he realizes it, he can just stop, let people applaud the fact that he likes Weird Al's version, and then start singling the real song as if the whole thing was planned.

  • I've read that too! I think it's awesome that he likes the parody that much. It's really, really catchy, after all. Also heard that George Lucas was nuts about this as well.

  • i watched this. and laughed. then i felt bad because the original is so sad.

    but this is brilliant.

  • chuck norris+king leonidas=2012

  • why

  • i like it i like star wars to do you guys my favrite part is when he says MY MY MR ANAKIN GUY SOMDAY HE IS VADER BUT HES JUST A SMALL FRY!YAY

  • GREAT SONG!

Anyone know what the origanal was??

  • American Pie

  • American Pie by Don McLean.

    watch?v=uAsV5-Hv-7U

  • REALLY?!?!?!?

  • 3 or 4 people said it in the coments on this page alone, and it says it in the description, so stop being ignorant, and look...

  • The original song (the one that originally used the tune) is American Pie by Don McLean

  • what gave it away...THE TITLE?!

  • Probably Al's best song.

  • Yes, yes it is.

  • " They locked the doors and tried to kill us "

LOL this guy is too funny

  • lol

  • me and my bro were jedis for halloween one year and mom made our cloaks. i still have mine and it looks just like weird al's.

    (Girl too)

  • lol 5:14 freken clones!!!!!!

  • You took my fave song and made a new fave! (tho i still love the real one!♥)

  • He looks like he could do a good Clay Aiken impersonation. Too bad Clay doesn't have any songs worth parodying.

  • great vid, catchy song. nd u gotta love those naboo girls dancing ha ha

  • lol gundoms died

  • They're Gungans not gundoms... epic fail as a Star Wars fan. Although Gungans are the dumbest thing to be created in the SW universe..

  • he was cute with the mustache and glasses. now he looks totally different

  • A lot of people in this video seem to be having a really good time. The Queen's ladies-in-waiting are trying very hard to to grin from ear to ear, and everybody else seems to have a twinkle in their eye. Fun!

  • 2:01! LOL the look on his face is so funny!

  • weird al rocks

  • you kill me hahaha

  • He is cute, like, really, Especially in this video. :D

    Weird Al + Jedi = Hot <3

  • lol

  • Weird Al is surprisingly good looking. Weird.

  • It was surprising how he managed to make this before the movie came out.

  • He wrote the lyrics based on internet rumors and leaked plot points, then paid Lucasfilm to get him into an advanced screening, so that he could correct an inaccuracies.

  • Weird Al puts on the funnest and best concerts. I saw him in House of Blues in San Diego. It was a blast. He even got in his fat suit! His band buddies do more than play too.

  • he did that same thing in arlington

    it was awesome!!

  • Sideous is rocking that piano.

  • his hair looks like clay aiken.

  • At the end there are 27 hims (if you include Al himself)

  • I counted 44.

  • when i first heard this i totally understood it. it acually takes ep.1 and turns it into a 5 minute song. birllant. captures every thing in the movie. couldnt script this any better. and star wars is awesome!!

  • Wow I could barely recognize him.

    Brilliantly made, though.

  • I use this song to teach kids what a complete and brilliant plot summary is. The fact that it is a great song is a big plus! Thanks, Al.

  • i like how the little strand of hair gets longer and longer throughout the video! random as... =D

  • This is hilarious! And the coolest thing about it is, if u ask me, that it actually sounds awesome too! ^^

  • Try again

  • I heard that Weird Al spent countless hours on the internet to get all the inside info on Episode 1 so he could have the song finished in time for the movie's release. Paid off huh?

  • an inspiration to star wars fans everywhere nice work!!

  • Comment removed

  • Weird Al is a musical genius!

  • The Emperor on the piano is pure win!

  • 3:40-3:43: dancing dude - my fav part

  • Still, I like the instrumentals in her version, and I think her attempt to remix this song would be funny as hell.
