  • I certainly did not think about this particular issue in that way before and it opened some serious discussion for me on this topic.

  • Hey great song! Any chance you would post the flip side I Itch?

    It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Ron

  • Can you tell me more info on the label, also flipside? I'm curious if you have any 45's of another Roanoke, Virginia group, "The Vikings 4" featuring WROV radio DJ personality Fred "Freelantz" Mugler? Any of you out there reading this, give me a reply!

  • WOW, I too love this record, never thought i'd hear it again, and I also grew up in Mason Cove,I guess us Rt.4 kids loves those memories,Hey TBC,how many knights did you sit on the porch of Pratts store, watching the cars do burn outs? My cousin was a back up lead guitarist for the Divots,Keep the oldies rolling!!

  • Holy hell, who's this???? Hey, Tim Beasley here!!!! Yes, I spent many a dollar playing that old pinball machine on the side...Nellie Sceif was the owner of Pratt's Store then....I'm talking mid 60's now....

  • Man, what are the odds of two Rt 4Bradshaw Rd kids running across each other after all these years due to a good old rare 45? I was just talking to Perry, of Kings Entertainment of Roanoke, who was in that band....I actually called him to talk about it as I knew he was also of The Royal Kings....I'd like to know if "At Pappa Joe's (They Wear Nothin' on Top" )" is out here on YouTube as welll...

  • I had this record!!!!!! I put the search term Dry Cereal- The Divots in and bam, there it is! I haven't heard this since about 1966, and it's weird how well I remembered it sounding just like this! I was a teenager living in Mason's Cove community of Ronaoke County, VA. The local potato chip company, Gordon's, of Roanoke starting putting 45's in their double bags as a promo, to get teens and young adults to buy them instead of Lays, sort of a "party pack!" They were a local band...tell me more
