This book, which I have read and MyCatBear has not as of today, shows only facts and genuine quotes made by our founding fathers which are documented. Our laws are based upon Christian precepts, and all of our founders were Christians and/or approved the merits of Christianity. Very well put together book, very much a blessing as it contains a wealth of information which makes liberals who want God out of America very uneasy and angry. My faith and optimism has grown because of this book.
Orly? "Religions are all alike - founded upon fables and mythologies." - Thomas Jefferson "In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people." - James Madison " The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity." - John Adams "Lighthouses are more helpful than churches." - Benjamin Franklin. Oh I do just love me some Benjamin Franklin.
@TomS917 I wonder if there is an audio formatted version of this book. I am low vision and it is much more better for me.
They love to NOT see or acknoledge the WHOLE truth, Only do they look at bits and peices of the actual quotes. Those that can be made to be the opposite of what they said and what they DID! They want us to release our national Identity. For obvious reasons.
First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ... "
"Under God We Trust"? That was added to our money in 1863. And we should remember that the word "God" is a generic term referring to an otherwise nameless deity. America is a country where any name can be attached to the word "God". It's our right.
PART III: This is the crossroad before us as a nation. One way is wide and leads to utter destruction. The other is narrow and leads to liberty and the blessings of it. It is individualism over collectivism, all over again. The same fork in the road, that man always has to shed wealth and blood over. Question is; are we just lazy, fearful, and apathetic enough for tyranny to win, again?
PART II: You can be an atheist and accept the base meaning of the 10 commandments (or ethics, if that makes one feel more comfortable). “Thou shalt not kill” does work, if we but just personally live by it. You do not HAVE to live Christianity itself, in order to have this, one of our nations laws, adhered to. What one does with his own heart is what makes a nation great. Alternatively, not make it such a great nation. CONT:
PART I: By adopting the ethical moralities of the Christian faith into the establishment of our nation was not establishing a theocracy. Nor does it portend that Christianity does not allow others faith into this nation. It sets it up FOR those who have either a different faith or no faith at all. To say that Christianity is not the basis for our nation’s moralities and its original establishment, is foolish, and not true. CONT:

Another book of right wing propaganda.

Sorry, I got this in backwards order. I used to have to do this, maybe now I don't.
