  • Wow! Funny how Shanghai is like this! At least Hong Kong is more "civilized." Sure people will cross through red walk lights there when no cars are coming. When cars do come by, people won't walk as drivers have the right of way over pedestrians there.

  • Yes, it's tought to cross the street in anything city in Asian countries such as Thailand, Taiwan, Philipine, Indonisia. People just don't like to follow the laws. You can imagine how tough for government to setup regulations for people to obey. It's tough. Everyone has his or her own mind. So it will take some time before western style democracy taking place.

  • this is more democratic than any western democracy, when majority choose not to obey the traffic rules, we have to respect their choices to the pont b4 accidents happen.
