  • hey now, what about stanky and the coalminers????? he's king here in PA!!!!!

  • I can't believe that Polka music can inspire passionate arguments of any kind. Clearly you people need some rock-n-roll in your lives.

  • What's all the fighting about? Who gives a f@ck what he wants to call himself? He plays great music. Big band sound is a dying art, and we are very lucky to have Sturr and his band.

  • As one playing in a regularly performing Band you are right. Not enough young people into actual dancing.

We still have a couple who are both over 70, and dance the Tango each week for us. I've seen this since 1978. He's so stone deaf, he brought us in a device to patch from the board to his hearing aide. It transmits to his hearing aides on the floor. Now he can keep better time for his Wife. Both charming folks.

  • There is only 1 polka king in the usa and his name is the late FRANK WOJNAROWSKI & HIS ORCHESTRA.

  • I would rather listen to sturr than any push pull honkey band get you facts straight the poles did not come from poland on a TRAIN, i think it was a ship??? the irish were digramanted upon when they came to the usa too because most of them were catholics, do a lil reading before you shoot your mouth off.

  • Polka King my Eye.

Tight band -- yes. But Sturr is Irish. There are many good, original polish Polka musicians out there, and he calls himself the "king." His ancestors threw rocks at Poles when they came off the trains to this country. Sturr is to polka what Elvis is to R&B, and Eminem is to rap.
