Great man you are meant to do this, lol. I put one up on youtube as well. you can find it on my page - True76121. If you get a minute check it out. It's still needs some mixing and mastering. Interested in hearing what u think. Since i've seen your videos I'm going to do a mix and master just to see if I can do it. Thanks, for the videos and the songs....
This was very informative. I listen to the whole series. Thanks, for the information. I also heard your single "unbreak your heart" WOW. Incredible. Great lyrics. Who wrote them? Hope the best for your career you truly deserve it. Stay strong...
Man thank You for the Pointers Just got Cakewalk Sonar * Producer and Only reason why we did this is because we lost our apple tower....Video card old g4....But this new program is unique not as good as My "Logic 9" but you just made me a believer bro... Thanks for the lesson...Keep doin it BIG papi!!!!...One!
Hey just wondering im having a trouble with mastering my tracks also, but i could of sworn that your not 2 have any red at all all and on your master and track volume you were clipping pretty hard. I could be mistaking plz correct me if im wrong and if you watch the video again when your drums hit the meter was in the red hard... Thanks plz respond..........
@954DNYCE You never want any red when recording. That's why your last plug in should be boost 11. It's a limiter and it will not allow your recordings to go over 0db.
Are you saying that when we are recording the various instruments we should make sure we are not getting into the red region, but when we are mastering, it's ok to if we end up in the red region?
Nice tutorial man... Thanks for your time. I will definitely apply some of what I learned. One question... I have Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition and I do not see the EQ and Compressor you were using in the video? How do I get those in the menu?
@DSProductionz that is a great question. You have to go back to the installation disk and then go scroll down and you'll see that the those effects are not checked with the default installation options. There are like three or four of them. Check those and uncheck everything else. Sonar will then only install those components. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of cool programs in that list pane that Sonar does not install by default.
I just watched all your sonar videos back to back. I have recently bought Sonar 8.5 Studio & now I have a much better understanding of what I can do with it... Awsome!
Did you use this software to record 'Unbreak Your Heart'?
