I am SUCH a poor cook, I do wish a temperature for the oil was listed, or a setting on the range (for example, Medium heat (and then show me the knob on the stove - ha!))

Not at all, they are perfect, the taste is amazing, as prepared, of course you need real potatoes, no frozen frits!
