This was a great follow on to Donna Summer's Bad Girls. I was a Disco DJ in the late 70's. Slip cue this at the end of Bad girls while she's still going "Toot toot beep beep," and the crowd didn't know when one ended and the other started.

Go back to 1991 and bust a move with MC Hammer. Corny? No, this song was intentionally factitious of the collapsing discotheque scene of 1979. You did not consider the context of what and which drugs were flooding the clubs at the time of this song's production. It seems that you don't comprehend the club culture of Europe & the East Coast as it was in 1979/1980. This song was never meant to be taken seriously.

I played it back in the day as a dj for pandora's in Dudley just outside Birmingham, England, I was often told I was too advanced musically......... I love the line at 3:19 into the track & you could see people singing the hearts out in there own little world, Fantastic days. look at the dance scene in UK now !
