  • the only part of this i dont like, is the virtual knobs, real ones are just so much more accurate less room for error and its faster.

  • your finger is fucked up

  • jazzmutant lemur does it better

  • adapt or perish, old fart naysayers!

  • Corben Dallas!....Multipass!

  • One thing is sure: Vinyl WILL die... But this aint the future too..

  • 1:30 YOUR FINGER, AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

  • fucking awesome :)

  • where to get one?

  • @ModusSollers Electronic music will always be on the forefront of technology. Tech paved the way for it why would we not adopt new technologies as they are created. Deadmau5 uses a monome and a jazzmutant lemur along with an extremely tech intensive set up. People want new ways to preform music you may like the old ways but there will always be people utilizing the newest technologies into their sets. Why is this a bad thing?

  • I hate all this new "virtual touch pseudo-technologic" stuff. People want faders, knobs, this is just game for people who like to program new technology, i really hope the business will not going to this.

  • @ModusSollers Stop whining or you'll grow old and die before you're time!

  • @perricida ahah, no, it's not a question of philosophy, it's a question of taste. I want KNOB, FADERS, material... not this virtual fashion shit.

  • @ModusSollers We all like knobs and faders of course for the concrete dj elements like crossfader and eq adjustments and that will never die. Touch screens just open up the ultimate flexibility for DJ's that either can't afford certain hardware or want more on the fly programability. Things like touch screens and monomes open up so many possibilities for live electronic music recreation. Performance integrity for djs is higher than ever before because things like these open up new doors.

  • ste cazzo di musiche sono tutte uguali, stessi suoni, stessi ritmi, cagate paurose !!!

  • SOB nince

  • yo where do i cop oone of those my dude?

  • would like to try this on the iQRite kitset touch frames. the dual touch drivers to finish beta test review in a few months so could be excellent timing... using the ICE AV laminate projection polymers would be ideal as well.

  • tanta tecnologia x che cosa???

  • awesome where can i get one?!

  • @iluvtrance69 agreed.

  • It's like a Lemur control :D

  • how much is it?

  • @iobomo yeah! i want to know too please!

  • me wanty!! dude, you should design one for the ipad! fuck the apc 40, that would make millions!

  • @Ridiculousmusic As true as it is, do not besmirch those people who'd rather an actual piece of hardware in front of them, i know i would.

    its a party piece

  • ummmm where can i FREAKIN get one!?!!

  • it looks very good, but you are not so good at timing.

  • @Co0p2k10 lol

  • youre sooooooooo bad!!

  • that's sexy!

  • Cool

  • it's really cool that you did this all on your own, but now there is touch osc for ipad and max4live

  • Mathieu Chamagne's website link has a type (mathiechamagne)

  • Very nice launchpad! Maybe a conjonction of touchpad AND knobs would be best in my opinion. Keep up the good work

  • Looks sweet, but what is the advantage of using a touch-screen if the logic of the interface is the same a physical controller?? I think there is so much potential here, perhaps the interface could explore the possibilities of the using space in a more creative way. Pressure-sensitivity, finger gestures, a drawing palette thing like the Korg Kaos controller??

  • nice

  • BIG STUFF!!!

  • did you thing in sell this "toy"?

  • look fun

  • Great stuff. I am actually working on building a FTIR LCD solution. Do you have any pictures of the whole unit? I'm interested in the design you chose for your case and the technology you're using to accomplish this.

  • looks damn cool maybe I am too old fashioned but I want a real knob to turn.

  • @Fraeg ur an idiot!!!!

  • @Fraeg same here, not good feel at all:(

  • I'm pretty sure he can add and remove buttons, being a custom multitouch.

    Midi controllers are becoming beautiful.

  • looks very expensive...

  • only $399

  • @Velghe87 You can build one at home on your own.. all it costs you is a computer you want it to run on, a projector, a hi-def webcam (for better resolution) and a glass with paper underneath.

  • SUPER.

  • whats the name of this program and where can i download/buy it? thank and awsome video.

  • very, very cool

  • did you programmed the max/msp into ableton? i thought max/msp for ableton was not out yet?

  • The APC-40 does all this and way more. Plus you don't need to bother programming custom MSP patches. Prior to the APC-40 this would have been even more impressive. Very cool performance nonetheless.

  • Actually, the Jazzmutant Lemur does that :)

  • would be great if the dj could add or remove buttons or modules on the screen and customize the midi controller =) ...I want one!! ...when will be on stores???

  • looks better than the Akai APC40!! :O

  • this is fuckin awesome.

havent noticed that we allready landed in the future.

  • Nice! I have a tablet and happened to have had Traktor Pro loaded while watching this. Never thought of controlling the program with the touchscreen. The weird thing is I had a track already loaded that was 128 bpm and played around with the track and didn't even notice I mixed the track with the audio from this video.
