  • POTOCO !

  • critical thinking=critical observation

  • I bought several of Andrew Mayne's illusions and they are pretty good but not extremely great in my opinion. No criticism on him as a an illusionist and his craft; just my opinion based on how I viewed what I purchased. But nonetheless I think its terrific all the great minds in the realms of skepticism and the art of magic gather together to help lecture on psuedo-sciences and point out trickery to deceive people in general.

  • I was well into my thirties before I started to really question my own beliefs and become a critical thinker rather that sit and wonder how dead people talk to living physics and feel sympathy for the folks who report being abducted by aliens. As Andrew mentions, get hold of Carl Sagan's Cosmos and watch it.

  • They are currently replaying Carl Sagan's Cosmos on one of the discovery channels in the US.

  • It's on Tuedays on the Science Channel (with updated graphics and tweaked effects! Of course this comes out the year AFTER I buy the DVD set).
