Silverado 4.8l 14" Magnaflow

ok well i have a 1999 gmc 1500 4.8L and i just put a magnaflow muffler on, and its not really any louder than stock, and im mad, cuz i want a good roar like you got, WHAT CAN I DO?

@mudmanic Well the stock muffler on my truck was as quite as a sewing machine, and all I did was cut off that muffler, and replace it with the magnaflow and the extra tubing. Did you get the 14" or the 18"?

sounds good to me i have an 02 with the 4.8l that i welded a cherry bomb extreme into stock system except i made it come out before the back tire on the passenger side

@kranski93 Thats cool, I actually recently just took the tail pipe off after the muffler, so it's basically straight piped, it just sounds a lot better.

Hows the interior noise? is it loud?

There's only some muffler drone from about 1700 to like 1900 rpm but nothing that you can't easily talk over.

It doesn't seem that loud inside but I've been told that you can hear me coming from a quater mile away. Haha

what's the number? is it an 11226?

Yes it is. I got mine from summit, the unpolished one to match the rest of my rusty truck. Haha

So the chevy is 11 year old now. Hows it holding up?

@maxamillion1011 Its holding up great I think, I just had to replace the rocker panels because of the Buffalo NY salt and I have to replace my springs. But I beat an ex cop car impala yesterday so I'd say its running pretty damn good.
