I disagree with them using Charlie (Max) from the nanny to play the Ex-husband, how are we suppose to separate "Living with Fran" and "The Nanny as two different shows by using the same characters, It just seems Fran and Max have had a divorce and the kids were the twins they had together, And Joshua is what they named the boy twin ......It makes me very unsettled.

On this show, the son's name is Joshua, and he just got kicked out medical school, which means he has to be at least around 20 years old. Ted (Charles, or Max from the Nanny) and Fran's daughter is Allison and she's 15 years old.

I love how it looks like, for a split second, CS glanced at the audience to see if they were going to have a reaction. Apparently he was as confused as we are.

But really, this show is bad. Its exactly like every other mediocre sitcom in the world--same characters, same lame jokes. It completely lacks the charm of The Nanny or the intelligence of a show like Reba...come to think of it, this *is* Reba, but simplified and boring.

I loved the "love fight" and just the whole story behind it. This is more like a normal comedy and I don't really like the part Ted is playing (not beiing the strongest anymore).

Love this show. It's sad that nobody can get passed Fran's role in The Nanny (which was a fantastic show) to really appreciate this show. It's really fantastic and I feel like it got cancelled way too soon simply because nobody can see Fran Drescher in anything besides The Nanny.

That's like hating anything Daniel Radcliffe acts in just because you expect him to be fighting wizards and doing magic.

"Living with Fran" seemed to try to recapture the Magic "The Nanny" had. Fran Fine's voice & style was a Unique & fresh change from the many sitcoms about clueless fat husbands with wise cracking very thin & pretty wives that made their husbands look like morons.Then we had the sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond", where The wife Debra constantly calls Ray, "idiot" Shows like that get old fast .The Nanny was funny & uniquely Fresh. I love Fran Drescher but sadly this premise didnt work.

They didn't even cheer when he walked in. >_>) Also, the father's name is Ted instead of Max, and the kids are different ages (Fran and Max's kids were twins), and Fran's maiden name isn't Fine.

this show got canceled because the WB turned to CW and wanted to target a younger demographic not because it wasn't as funny as the nanny. In fact the nanny was nearly canceled also. The thing both these shows have in common besides casting and character nuances is that I never got into either show until they'd been off the air for years.
