I am confused what the point of having vpn on your router is for? Could someone reply to this comment? I mean why not just have a vpn server on a server in your lan?
Depends on your network. What if you don't have a server at that location? If you have several remote locations and only one has a server or perhaps you are cloud-based and done have servers. Many reasons for this.

The IP adress that you entered is that the local IP Adress?.
Does it need to be the same adress range as the local network?
