I created a page for skateboard painting on Facebook (Official Skateboard Painting). I would appreciate it if you could help me advertise it and get people to participate in uploading pictures and posts about the art. I think it's a great way to share ideas with other and upcoming skateboard art enthusiasts.

was this skate-able? and how long did it take for the paint to dry?

@programer97 it wasn't meant to be skated on and I know that it hasn't been since being painted, but my guess is that it wouldn't last long. the paint is acrylic and takes about 2-3 hours to dry to the touch.

@matstar102 thanks! you can find blank skate decks on ebay for pretty cheap. they usually come in packs of 5, just search for 'blank skateboard decks'

how much do paint pens cost and can you use acrylics on grip

paint pens can get pretty expensive. i used Sharpie paint markers for this deck, which are probably 5 bucks at any arts/crafts store. Acrylic on grip tape? Possible, but dont expect it to last if you're going to be skating on it afterwards.

for this one i used almost all acrylic paint, with a little bit of spray paint (the "x" stencils on the sides)
