i played wc3 and now i got lotr an i must say that wc3 is only good because of dota...the normal game isnt made for huge fights and long games thats why lotr is better in my eyes

Without two thing this game would be one of the best games ever made,the two thing are following:

1.You must pick a color for your team,all units (especially heroes) looks so stupid when their armor's color changes to your teams color

2.Archers on the wall,they wont stay there!!!(try Minas Tirith's walls)

Battle for Middle Earth is the only game where i can play campaign. because its not boring and its so fun to play other strategy games have such a boring campaign

this game looks so fun. Age of Empires version of Lord of the Rings. i love games like tehse. Age of Empires, Stronghold, Command and Concur, Halo Wars, Battle for Middle Earth, Civilization, all of those. i love them. is this one good? i played the Demo. isnt it way more real? like in most they go clack, clack clack. over and over. like if 2 swords men go against each otehr it takes like 3 minutes for one of them to die. in this oen dont they die faster?

well I actaully ment the first Batlle for MIddle earth. thats the one i played the demo for. i didnt even know they had a second one. so the first one is good? cool. i might buy it for computer then. and i remember it would be like 1 hit kills instead of 100 hits. lol. WAY more realistic. so thanks. i will mabey buy Batlle for Middle Earth. then mabey play the 2nd one sometime and see if i like it.i also wanna play Halo Wars

I strongly recomend the Battle for middle earth 2 and the expansionpack. There are more options in strategy to them than the first one, although it's less fun in the way that there are not as many emotions to the units in the game.

Oh I see. ^^ Yeah, the first one is a little more "realistic". It follows the story as the movies.

You get a little more freedom to chose your mission. For example, in this game you just play mission after mission. When you play the first one you can choose what area you want to attack and stuff. And your heroes doesn't go up in rank in like 2 seconds as they do in this one.

It makes you appreciate your heroes skills much more. ^^

But I recommend this game for the online version.

alright. thanks. i played the first one for a few minutes. it looked fun. cause in normal games like Age of Empires and Stronghold(even those are Both hella fun games) the people will swing at each other for like 30 seconds just going "ting, ting ka ting" then one dies. when i played Battle for Middle Earth demo the people would die instantly. WAY more realistic. but thanks. i might buy one of them for computer. probably the 1st one first. but thanks. reply back to tell me mroe about the game

i dont but i know a trick for all good forces. take out some units get them down too 2-3 men then regenerate them. also if you use a hobbit you can have a permanent spy on the enimy

when demo first came out i did mini-mod with dwarves and men of west merged into 1 because alot of w3d's missing i replaced them with existing bits ,goblin can summon army of balrogs with infinite timer hidden model's in demo witchking on fellbeast fantums and white gladriel with out ring giant eagle as hero few horde units exist to ,i must remember to get this game next time im shopping
