  • Im gonna do this.. then fart during the sweep. TKO

  • "Ok guys, I'm upside down."

  • that shit is ridiculous...... and this position in the beginning is very easy to get into....

  • can you apply this to the no gi

  • @xtinaschampion i saw a vid by cyborg without gi

"Cyborg" Roberto Abreu - Are You Kidding Me Kimura - BJJ Weekly #078

  • new Jifferent plan of attack.

  • That triangle was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen :D

  • bite*

  • eye gouge so on and so fourth.. Once again JJ is great but when in a STREET fight I cant see this working incredibly well as it does in MMA.. MMA is one on one and it's allowed there.. like I said when in a street fight most of the time ppl will force you to stand up and fight not grapple, choke, and ultimately submit.. Learn more than one technique don't think BJJ is going to get you out of a street fight on top because it probably won't

  • Ppl usually don't let ppl wrestle each other on the ground when in a street fight.. It's like a moral code.. lol.. And what if you get jumped? are you going to submit them all at the same time? Don't get me wrong Jiu Jitsu is great but you NEED to learn how to fight standing up.. Fights don't have to go on the ground believe it or not.. and also when your in a street fight there are pretty much no rules.. If your choking somebody don't be surprised if they take a chunk out of you with a bit.

  • @pussylicker24 I have never in my life ever heard of a "moral code" in fighting that you shouldn't take the fight to the ground. In fact, you just contradicted yourself in your own post when you said there are no rules in street fights. There are videos of the gracie family fighting people where they groin grab or bite, the gracie family member just takes the pain and finishes the submission. The only good point is that it doesn't work if you're jumped, but neither does any fighting style.

  • this just seems like a very complex sweep setup...

  • skip forward - he's on the ceiling Skip forward- he's doing a hand stand. skip forward - he's on his back legs spread haha this dude's funny.

  • you gotta love that brazillian(?) accent XD

  • I'm a white belt... I'm not worthy.

  • "Ok guys, I'm upside down, ok?"

  • workin on this

  • He talks too much. We need to see more of the physical demo.

  • can anyone think of a no gi application for this? I mean like, a solid and reliable one. If anyone has, please share

  • i pulled this off in training the other day

  • i'm going to use this at 10th planet.

  • this is very advanced movements....good thing im advanced....:-P

    good stuff

  • i can flip him whenever i want!

can stop take a picture here ok go back!

  • Roleta was using this years ago? ryan hall uses it, so do the mendes brothers think they all call it the inverted guard?

  • @dtecbjj this isn't inverted guard, more like inverted half guard

  • Everyone should check Cyborgs new Tornado Guard Nogi series DVD

  • i wanna see it done in sparring or fight any examples on youtube people?

  • @rohleks look for cyborg doing the tornado guard at the honolulu open 2011

  • @rohleks he did it against jeff monson in ADCC 2009

he's done it alot in grapplers quest too.

  • @rohleks miami open 2010 absolute final against abmar barbosa and against jt torres in the no gi worlds 2010 last year. Look it up.

  • So should we start naming the triangle choke after it's creator?

  • I think I know.

  • @HardGainers...: I understand that Cyborg didnt say that he invented it, but thats exactly why he should give credit to Roleta, the inventor of the move, by calling it by its original name.

  • @luckydawg4life How far does that logic go back though, the greeks were doing Kimuras thousands of years ago, some of this stuff might be newly discovered, but none of it is new.

  • you know

  • Cyborg is a sick grappler, but he didnt invent this. Roleta invented not only this sweep, ("the helicptor" sweep), but he inverted guard position as well 15-20 yrs ago! WTH?

  • @luckydawg4life he didnt say he invented it he said he started using the sweep as a blue belt.

  • he is thinking monster

  • Im impressed by how many details I remembered. Cyborg`s gotta be a good teacher

  • @caussabon he is an amazing teacher

  • Awesome. thanks for the post. im a blue belt and this is something id like to try!

  • 7:13 looks his arm here, look i have his arm, it is mine, look

  • @McWi11ams Did you not watch the worlds this year? He landed this sweep in the black belt absolute division.

  • this is awesome to play with, but i only have one problem with these kind of moves...if you watch cyborg compete he never uses this against black belts he just uses basics...stick with and perfect the basics people!

  • if i were doing this no gi would i just grab the ankle instead of the pants, or behind the knee?

  • did he create this gaurd? if so its awesome and I will make my own techniques sometime soon!

    YA!!! MARTIAL ARTS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I end in half alot I want to get this down.

  • Cyborg is hands down top 5 best grapplers in the world right now!!

  • 4:12-4:27 HaHaHaHaHa I'm sorry but that's just funny! xD

  • look his arm here, thats mine okey look his arm here look...look his arme here look his arm is mine. LOL

  • @TheTriangularSquare HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • master deninho and master cyborg!!

if anyone is in miami wanting to do bjj, message me.

    osss lutar ou morrer!!

  • you know?

  • Love it. The concept of taking what your opponent gives you is central to all of BJJ imho.

  • This is pure grappling sweetness in video form.

  • This s so fucking sick

  • It took me a bit to get this. If you practice against a wall walking the wall back to inverted and back again you get used to the transistion and the head movement..The trick is to keep your hips close to the wall at all times. Doing it with a partner is more difficult but if you put the knee that isnt keeping half guard in the other guys diaphram & pull on his gi you can bow and arrow him for a second and then he will let you go inverted or do what ever takes that freaking knee out of his gut.

  • god that's beautiful.

  • that is all kinds of bad ass

  • If you're a white belt don't worry about all this tornado guard stuff focus on your fundamentals before you start worrying about the advanced techniques

  • "you know"

  • You dicks own his english, right? He owns all of YOU!

  • "But! In the other hand! Look his arm here, that's mine. Ok? Look his arm here. Look. Look his arm here. Look. His arm is mine."

  • @grimacewit It's like the game with the ball in the cup where they mix them around.

  • Thats nice stuff, i wish i could do any of it :(

  • thanks for sharing .

  • "i throw him look, look i stop can take a picture" hahahaha

  • His English may NOT be perfect, BUT HIS JIU_JITSU IS,,,....OSSSSS

  • yo this is my new favorite thing

  • i want this dvd so badly!

  • Look...LOOOOK... look loooook... look

  • I've been trying this one recently. I can get it training, but I still need to work on it before I can use it for real...

  • i've been using this sweep and lot and i find it really works, but people are posting with there hands when i try to sweep them. any advice?

  • @Mexico041 isn't the solution then going to triangle? Do you have the dvd?

  • VERYYY POSITION **-**

  • that transition to triangle was doooooopppe

  • "okay guys, I'm upside-down, okay?"

  • @ivehlk lol

  • @ivehlk hahaha "Okay im upside down"

  • @ivehlk

we jokingly say this in every class lol

    love it!

  • look his arm here, look, look his arm here, look, look hahahah

  • can stop take a picture!!!!

  • Was awesome to meet you Saturday. Congrats on the gold medals. You're a beast.

  • "Okay guys, I'm upside down!" that made me laugh...but seriously...sick guard

  • mestre you re the best bjj i have ever seen

  • This video is EPIC.. I love BJJ and it still amazes me that there are SOOO many different possibilities from every position.. Transitions are endless! Great video!!

  • Took me like 5x of watching this video to figure out that @ 2:19 he said "important detail here" and not "pardon the tail here."

I couldn't figure out what tail he was talking about. His belt? His GI? His penis?

  • @DanLujan i find it so hard to understand why north americans find it so hard to understand different accents. Is it a lack of creativity , because i heard what he said very clearly. I don't speak portuguese. Matter fact, i am ghanaian i had to learn how to speak english. even so, i had no problem with him.

  • @DanLujan lolllllllll ditto

  • really nice, another weapon to my half guard, which is my best guard.

  • yup yup

  • Amazing Instructor had the chance to work with him!!!

  • They coulda put dis in UFC 2010 undisputed, dammit!

  • that triangle at 3:35 was beautiful.

  • i need to take a piss.

  • Lol love how he keeps playin with his toes hah! great stuff True master.

  • 6:30 kamasutra :)

  • I want that KORAL Gi ! That back patch is siiiiiiiiiiiiick !!!!!!!

  • holy shit. i need this dvd

  • is there a DVD of this?

  • 0.o .... wow

  • I'm looking already.

  • Estas tecnicas de volteo son geniales, se las recomiendo. Es una sorpresa para el oponente en newasa de Judo y Jiujitsu encontrarse con las tecnicas de este monstruo de newasa.

    gracias "Cybor" por tus tecnicas.

  • Wow this looks fucking AWESOME

  • Fan-fuckintastic man. That is epic.

  • possible no gi?

  • @mangodealer I'm wondering that too. With what i do, if it can't be done without a gi, it's useless.

  • SICK!

  • Nice...gave me a new weapon to use....now I got to practice it.... ;-)

  • Boa moleque!!! Excelentes movimentos! Já sofri muito nessa guarda!

    Abraços!!!!

    Diego Asenjo>

  • thats fuckin sickkkk

  • you have to get this just right or else its a great way to tear you hamstring (personal experience)

  • to much talk....less action..... but the positions are great....

  • "I can stop, take a picture here"

    lol

  • @larrybagina lol

  • Is this not inverted guard like used by Ryan Hall?

  • @chemykl More of an inverted half guard. Hall plays inverted with more space, almost like a spider guard.

  • @viator22 correct and well-said

  • dude in the white kind of looks like lyota machida

  • Is it just me or does it seem like every instructional video filmed in the same place?

  • This is BIGTIME for me also! He, he (",)

  • amazing!!!

  • I watched this before going to sleep and dreamed I was tornado sweeping people left and right

  • @getthetapjj i did that with Telles' turtle guard dvd and my turtle got much, much better after that no lie. Another way to remember it is to put the DVD with segment you want to remember in. Push play and actually go to sleep. Make sure your volume is up of course. It puts the information in your subconious(sp) making it impossible to forget.

  • the actual sweep is at, 6:25

  • @bjj1987 i wish i could vote this up 100 TIMES hahahah----> NOO OFFENSE <-- its just hard to keep track of this guy and pay attention, but a great explanation of the technique and great examples aswell

  • people please activate subtitles. It's hilarous!! :D

  • "can stop, take a picture, comebackkk LOOKKKK" lol.. i love this....great shit...

  • "Okay guys, I'm upside down now"

  • I've hit this sweep 2 times now in the past 2 classes while sparring. Love this sweep!!!!!!

  • I have been starting to play this stuff slowly and it seems to be really useful. Excellent tips. Certainly something to go into the arsenal.

  • We have a black belt at Gracie Barra Seattle who has been killing guys with this sweep. Tons of leverage.

  • cool

  • these are beautiful and yet still practical

  • Bad ass!

  • Ive seen this guy do it with no Gi too...

  • how do you do this without a gi?

  • wow! it's like inverted half guard. that first sweep at 3:20 looks so simple.

  • @kkarnis369 exactly.

  • porra velho bom de mais!

  • Freaking awesome! Top level technique.
