#2 is the best for on site work I assure you. 20 yrs in the biz. Even after this guy turned all his buttons on I could still see misting flying all over the place. I would say this gun is 70-80 percent paint to piece. #2 is about 98%. Ransburg is great at irregular shapes it's only drawback is interior recesses. It's expensive so you probably should have your application in mind to recoup your $ quick. Lockers & office furniture have always been the #2's bread and butter.

even if you use toulene a shot glass of MEK really increases the wrap rate
but by all means use the viscosity cup 15 seconds is the formula - took years to get this right
also Dunn edwards is the best Synlustro - not Rustoleum

I use mek and laquer thinner blended with paint thinner
10 per cent mek 60 per cent laquer and 30 percent paint thinner in a viscosity cup at 15 seconds drop rate
Viscosity cup available at Vista Paint - dont need to guess - this is the formula that works!

The two are very different. The Ransburg gun makes less overspray, but it's harder to spray irregular objects.
