  • my school's wind ensemble is just learning this song and it is amazing. I play the clarinet and the sixteenth nothes are pretty tricky but its so cool! :)

  • we did this in all-district

  • We did this during Honor Band

  • I love this song. We are playing this for festival. Go saxophones!!!!!

  • Go French Horn Solo!

  • I thought of Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Pokemon and countless of other things from my childhood.

  • @Fri13th95 also heard a second of star wars

  • Band decided to play this for our african heritage celebration, it was kind of easy considering we usually play level 6 or 7 pieces but gosh Reineke is a genius! I am completely in love with this song and his other amazing composition 'Fate of the Gods'

  • indiana jones instantly popped in my head. :D

  • we sight read this in band today and i love it! but its a level 4 and too easy for us so we can play it :(

  • i loved this song... some parts sound like pocahontas

  • I heard a b-flat, after the key change

  • welldone :)

  • We played this at graduation a couple years ago. Some of it's really catchy.

  • I've recently discovered this composer and his works. I think he's one of my new favorites. :)

  • That flute part is from sedona lol!!!!

  • Played this my 8th grade year... I think I might pull it out and play it again(:

  • The band Styx disliked this...

  • Glock timing at the begging is a bitch! I have to do chimes and glock D:

  • bass clarinet part helps make it sound freaking epic XD

  • Mallet part is epic: I have to switch between five different instruments.

  • @boomfale is it possible, im switching between these instruments... some may be new not sure. my conductor added some instrument parts.... bells, glock, chimes, xylophone, vibraphone, and also some odd percussion instruments whose names i dont know

  • @HUNGERGAMESLOVER15 I played this back in April, but if I remember correctly I played bells (same as glock), chimes, crash cymbals, triangle, and bass drum. It's all about positioning the instruments together and knowing when to move to what instrument.

  • @boomfale i never knew the right percussion instruments, cuz in band atleast, im more of oa clarinet, flute, piccilist, but we have idiots as our percussion, so i have to play that part

  • @HUNGERGAMESLOVER15 Uggg, I hate it when percussionists are idiots, it makes everyone think that we are less of musicians than the rest of the band.

  • @boomfale thats pretty much my entire band. for certain songs, i play certain instruments. i know almost every percussion instrument, the basson, piccolo, flute, clarinet, oboe, sax, bari sax, trumpet, baritone, and os forth

  • @HUNGERGAMESLOVER15 I'm sorry, but that's kind of sad. (Your band not you.) Though impressed that you've learned to play all of those.

  • @boomfale yea it is. this is normal band. the conductor for the W.E. for my school would take me in an instant, but im in Chamber Orchestra, and CO, and WE are the same periods so we could have symphonic rehersals. The WE conductor was even willing to only have me come 1 day a week so the other 4 days were orchestra, but my orchestra conductor said no becuase he couldnt think i could do it

  • were playing this for our band concert!

  • I had the trumpet solo in that piece when our band played it. I never knew why I got first part for that piece only...

  • yay trumpet solo!!

  • reineke is killing the flutes with all those sixteenth notes....

  • @anjellio clarinets have it too, i feel glad i took the bass clarinet part for this, the clarinets are practically dying in rehearsals

  • @anjellio we actually did really good on the sixteenth notes. Flutes and Clarinets. (including me) (a clarinet.)

  • Trombone part in this is pretty cool, if only the acoustics in my school's auditorium were any good then this would sound professional with us playing it.

  • Clarinet is hard in the middle...

  • the clarinet part was a bitch in the middle

  • I play timpani on this song :D

  • @PunkRockDrummer44 Dude, me too! I'm upset because you can barely hear the timpani in this version, wheras in ours, the timpani is very loud.

  • haha this song is almost exactly like sedona

  • Yup saxes all the way!! Woot woot

  • i love the saxes @ the end

  • Not as good as us!!!

  • lol movie style song with no movie.

  • i play piccolo on this song :D lots of rest...

  • what I love about this piece is that everyone has something good, in a lot of wind band pieces you will get an amazing part and everyone else will have some mildly interesting bits but on the whole thier part is uninteresting but everyone who comments on here loves thier parts. Ive seen trumpet player comment, a flautist, a clarinet player, a french horn player. I could go on. Reineke writes the most amazing music giving everyone something fun to play which is very rare talent.

  • I could listen to this all day, every day.

  • Wtf the super 16th note part is from Towards the horizon

  • I love the transition from 3:26 to 3:41. So beautiful.

  • clarinets woot woot!

  • @SW33Tii3NATALii3 whoop whoop go clarinets!xD

  • I love the bass line for this song.

    Bass Clarinet FTW!

  • clarinet runs=epically impossible

  • @j3ss31214 They're actually really easy!! We're playing it in band right now and our director is like "Noh noh noh! You musht all go fashter!" And we're rockin' it! :D

  • @j3ss31214 nothing's impossible for a clarinet player :DDD

  • @j3ss31214 Hahaha they're really not that hard! All runs are are simple scales!

  • the Bassoon part is the best!

  • Reineke tells the most beautiful stories through music. He never ceases to stop me mid tracks, get my att and lose me in a new epic tale.

  • we play this in band !i play flute !pretty beautiful song

  • we played this in band it was awesome and i got to play the trumpet solo :D

  • what band is playing this here?

  • Reminds me of the score to a Sergio Leone wesrren

  • French horn :) I think it sounds like Back to the Future.

  • French Horns FTW! :)

  • great song played it last year

  • gooooooooooo timpani xD

  • our marching band show closer :)

  • YEA KNIGHTS!!!!!

  • THis is basically the same thing as Into the Raging River xD

  • closer to sedona, you'll find :P

  • GO TUBAS!!!!!!!

  • YEAH WOOOOH

  • no coda ? D:

  • @rPWnzeL What? The coda is there.

  • dude the coda's there :S you might be thinking of Sedona, they sound the same lmao

  • @rPWnzeL there is a coda,

  • @rPWnzeL Except there is a coda...

  • @rPWnzeL What do you mean? They played it.

  • @rPWnzeL Yes coda :O

  • some parts of this sounds like jurassic park. haha thats what most of my band says

  • lol i have the trumpet solo in this song... im not very good at it tho

  • french horn accuracy? the balance was a little off at times and there were some tuning issues. Even with some flaws, this song is still awesome.

  • who is playing this?

great tune btw, we are playing this

  • i love this song. that sounds amazing but i think the low brass should've played out more before the saxophone played the melody.

  • low brass should always play out more! Go TUBA's!!! lol
