1) It's an Econo Lodge - not exactly The Waldorf Astoria.
2) It's near an airport- there is a reason that property values are piss poor and neighborhoods aren't gated communities when you have 747's landing every 10 minutes or so
3) It's Memphis - There are safer cities in Afghanistan than Memphis!
Looks like the Econologe we stayed at in Athens TN overnight, including the syringe behind the furniture I still wonder if we wouldnt have been better off to sleep in the truck!
Memphis is ghetto and always will be...ESP...near the airport...That is one of the worst areas near State Line Rd. It's depressing what a s$#%hole that city is!!!

It really kinda sucks if your not from the town and your first impression is this hotel...not a good choice.
There is a movie coming soon....Chevy chase has a trailer on here somewhere......

there are nice hotels in memphis..but near the airport is ghetto..people should really do their research before you go on vacation. common sense.

Be careful, and stay away from city hotels, unless ure willing to spend $200 a nite for a decent hotel.
