  • nao entendi nada o que vc esta falando .. pq sou brisileiro ..

  • Sup wes. Dis is kahji

  • I had never heard that some parents of deaf children did not want them to learn sign language...thats just idiotic.

  • Im Deaf too! Im totally agree what you said!

  • Those of you hard of hearing or deaf folks do good in mainstream classes, good!

Unfortunately others are not doing good, you're VERY lucky not to expereince this!

Very Lucky! Coulda have happened to ya, know that!

  • The guy could not write clear on English cause he uses American Sign Language (ASL). Same with you hearing people cannot grasp American Sign Language. Get a grip it's 2 different languages here.

So hearing creaps don't like ASL, why in the heck are you all using Spanish everywhere for them and not ASL and Schools for the Deaf yet the Deaf people were born in USA and you're upset with Mexicans-Spanish language users invading USA?

Face it, you hate Deaf. Bunch of Crazies.

  • Im hearing and if i had a deaf or hoh child i would let them go to a deaf school. I also plan to become a teacher of the deaf and to me alot of parents dont wanna learn sign infact i know alot who feel their child need to read lips so at home the child cant even sign. :( its really sad

  • whoever commented on my comment, not if you study enough to qualify for CI. once again.. there is a pro n cons for CI in babies. the statisics will not always be 100% correct.

  • I'm deaf and I can hear the noises, i dont consider myself as hard of hearing at all. I'm proud to be completely deaf. I was considering to go to a hearing (public) school half day and half day at deaf school. nothing is wrong with public school. i know someone that went to public school at some point and he is deaf. he developed just fine. public or deaf school dont make any differences, as long as there's a interpereter. someday if i have a deaf kid, i'll still send my child to public school.

  • Deaf people agree with this. Hearing people don't. This simple fact tells you a lot about how much hearing people understand Deaf culture.

  • I agreed with you *High Five*

  • HAHAHA! I LIKE IT SO MUCH I SUPPORT YOUR COMMENT ALL THE WAY THUMB UP!

  • HELL YEAH DEAFIA36!!!!!!!!!!! =D

  • I agreed with you. *High Five*

  • awsome good vlog!

  • I love it! I am hearing person working in a deaf school. The acceptance, the ease of communication, allows these children to focus on learning. Not hiding, not worrying about looking different if they sign....

I am SHOCKED at how many parents do not learn to sign! How can you NOT want to have an easy/effective/beautiful way to communicate with your child??? Yes, there is oral, pen/paper etc but you will never be able to get the same level of depth in a conversation. Meet them 1/2 way. Please

  • @NHLRULES81, I second yours!

  • Also these parents are enduring a difficult and uncertain time, understandably so. They need support, warmth and comfort going into uncertainity. This message does not provide that. They need a warmer message with open arms and make them feel its all going to be okay!

  • @Gator73082 , YUP!

  • I'd also like to add that I don't necessarily agree witham his point of just shipping the deaf child off to the nearest deaf institute. They should at least explore their options - institute, mainstream, or other kinds of program. I, for one, am glad my parents didnt send me to MKSD which is 3 hours away which means alot of time apart from the family! They found a program for me 45 mins away that did me wonders. Then i went into mainstream for middle and high school all while living with my f

  • Just a good message being poorly portrayed. Nothing personal against this guy but I wouldn't want my own hearing peers to see this.

  • Check around 3:20 through this video and notice the sudden change in handwriting. Second, his demeanor and attitude was very aggrogant and bullish. Thats not a good impression if he wants the hearing parents to to be well received of his message. Just saying...

  • Lol he has all good points but I'm afraid they might not get across to these said hearing parents. First, his written english at the beginning was not good which might scare these parents. I also noticed that he had a different person writing on the papers with different handwriting and good english. Lol shoulda done that from the beginning!

  • I disagree with the whole aspect of your video.. having hearing parent send off their deaf child to deaf school.. I think every parent have their own decision on whether where they want to send their child to school and second of all.. deaf school lack of english skills. I was raised in a deaf school before sent off to a mainstream school because I wanted to. I never enjoyed attending deaf school.. lack of education. However. I am a CI repicient after 23yrs of wearing hearing aid.

  • @cutelilelement06, Sorry I disagree with you all the way.

  • reads other users' comments... wanna remind MOST of you... this video is not about YOU, it is about OTHER DEAF CHILD who is about to be LEFT BEHIND... regardless of where you come from... please THINK outside of you... LOOK OUT for them. Get my drift, "Me" (not "We") the People?

  • Wonderful you are, he are everything arguments;)

  • HAHAHAHAHAH!!! THIS IS MAKING ME LAUGH SOOO HARD AND MADE ME CRY! HAHA THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME!!!!!!

  • Hearing parents have 2 possibility: CI or no CI. By no CI is it better that they do to learn sign language. By CI: Better that the baby early goes the operation. Than can the baby fastly learn to speak. I have 2 CI and I can speak and hear but also sign language. (Sorry for bad English)

  • du sagst richtig ;)

  • the reason why deaf people have bad grammar is after school they do not practice like we would they have to sign not speak out the word or practice saying it they dont have to write most of the time because their family can understand sign language the reason i know this is because my mom is deaf and my mom shared this on email to me. and it is a tough life for these people it is hard for them to go into a regular store they cant talk to the employee to ask for something instead they write it

  • 0:27

  • @AwesomeAmber12347 what so funny? i see nothing funny except your premature laughter at a person who is just like us i do not understand if you are making fun of face at that moment of time or whatever happened that i didnt think was funny

  • i would agree if the deaf schools were have better system.. i did not like thier langauge or other subject for thier education in the deaf school.. but I totally agree on DO NOT CI or anything use sign langague yes i agree. but Problem living in the hearing world has given Deaf lot of acess but hard time finding job so on forth.. But few lucky.. sucks, ON being deaf.. but Deaf is not a diease like u said :-) Only i wish there was a class to teach deaf to handle hardships in real world.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. We are a hearing family. We have been trying to learn ASL. As we intergrate into the Deaf community I am shocked to learn how many parents with Deaf children refuse to learn sign. In schools I think people have varying experiences but I have friends that are deaf & in every case mainstream schools didn't offer them anything but grief. I would think at least in Deaf schools you can be free to be you. I know this is a topic a lot of people stand on both

  • to be apart of Deaf community they will be able to speak with them without the expectation they aren't the ones that need to work to understand whats being said. If I wanted to move to another country I would expect my children to learn that language, why in America is it okay to have English and Spanish yet half of our population's language goes unspoken? I'm hearing and this frustrates me to no end. I can not imagine how frustrating that can be to Deaf Communities.

  • I agree that all parents of deaf children should learn how to sign!! They're so horrified that THEY have a deaf child that they do all they can to deny it, even if it means being unable to communicate with them until they get

    them " fixed ". And to Run4ny : You're an ass ~ I understood him perfectly.

  • Thanks for showing everyone why they should NOT send kids to deaf schools.

    The video is retarded.

If you're a hearing parent of a deaf child, the best thing you can do for your child is to get them cochlear implants asap and enroll them into a mainstream education.

  • @Run4ny , Putting cochlear implants (ci) on deaf child is not the best answer at all. THERE ARE A LOT OF cochlear implant failure. DO NOT LIE TO YOURSELF, PEOPLE WHO SEEKS FOR HOPE ON Deaf children.

DOCTORS, CI companies hides CI failures. I know 7 people with CI died at young age but the doctors stated on their death dates that they died from something else, not CI complications. It pisses off me. Be careful of what you say.

  • @ChatinASL actually.. Im a CI repcient, after 23yrs wearing hearing aid.. I have profound hearing loss... Prior before getting this surgery, Ive done amount of research on this stuff.. they did admit of how much failure in this but they don't lie about it. so like you said.. do your research before doing it. Im doing just fine..

  • @cutelilelement06, CI is not the best answer for each Deaf child. I know 7 Deaf people with CI, who died at young age. Be sure that you check your inside CI every year like your annual physical check-up such as mold, etc

  • SORRY I DISAGREED YOU!!! YOU ARE WRONG TO SAYING THIS! YOU CAN'T TRY TO FORCE PPL TO SENT DEAF PPL TO DEAF SCHOOL! ITS THEIR CHOICE! BY THE WAY IM DEAF! I WENT TO THE EAST HIGH SCHOOL (NOT DEAF SCHOOL OPPS SORRY DUDE) AND LEARNED FROM THERE JUST FINE!

  • *teacher didn't teach enough for Deaf kids for E.D.*

  • Oh By way, My hearing family are ACCEPT! FOR DEAF FAMILY OF PART IT N AFTER THEY LEARN TO SHOW SIGN..

  • IT NOT ABOUT DEAF SCHOOL, N THERE IS THING,DEAF SCHOOL DRAMA?? THAT REASON THEY DON'T LEARN THAT MUCH, IT BAD SCHOOL FOR DEAF KIDS LEARN BIG MISTAKE N BIG DRAMA, TEACHER DIDN'T TEACHER DEAF FOR ENOUGH. DEAF IS SMART YES BUT DRAMA THAT IS NOT RIGHT.

  • HISTORY! IF HEARING PPL WANT LEARN SIGN N THEY GO SCHOOL N TAKE ASL CLASS N AFTER TEACH YOUNG BABY FOR DEAF. THAT REASON THERE MADE THERE CHOICE. N DON'T YOU WORRY ABOUT DEAF. IT ONLY FAIR OF THAT. I ONLY ONE DEAF. MY FAMILY IS HEARING/DEAF/HARD OF HEARING IN MY FAMILY HISTORY. I LEARN FROM IT. I PROUD OF IT FOR BEING DEAF..

  • Let me Explain this. You almost right but there is Something that You don't know n Missing too. Ok First at all, You should go to hearing school or deaf school whatever is. God Made US for Deaf/hard of hearing/blind/hearing. You CAN'T blame this hearing ppl, Hearing Ppl didn't know about that. Only Reason why They made right or wrong. Hearing ppl CAN'T NOT FORCE deaf Ppl for get I.C. Listen careful, Deaf MADE CHOICE ONLY. it not for Hearing force. it very wrong. n It was FROM GIVE FAMILY

  • Wow. I couldn't stop laughing. He is hilarious with facial expression. He has a right to express his opinion. However, if parents watch this & notice his so-so grammar on his papers, they might think twice before sending deaf kids to certain Deaf Schools. I grew up in public schools with deaf classes & teachers that use sign languages, some mainstream in high school & fully at DeVry University. BEST education I had and I would NOT trade it for anything. :-)

  • And also yes dont panic about raising deaf babies because they're human beings like us!

  • Are amazing to exist in this world. And we have an purposes on this world. That God has created us here. And I just dint understand that hearing people would just stand in a way of criticism us that we can't do anything due to our deafness which was bullshit. I know one day one of us will prove em wrong and to the freedom that we stand strong and follow the flow!

  • Hello deafia, this is his girlfriend clumsyclown's girlfriend i have grew up in mainly public schools all my life especially I had been to two different svhool. I've never been to deaf schools till I was 12 years old. I remember very vividly it was like an yesterday days I never had thought there would be that many deaf people who were just like me. I thought I was the only one but apparently I was wrong about that one. I have fell in love socialized with them. Because its my language that they

  • easy way to say this. not always have to go to deaf school. mainstream school is good school that have best deaf program and interpreter so way they can have equal of education with hearing people. but somehow i agreed with CI. i want to wait for kids to grow up and let them decide if they want to have CI or not.

  • .... I am assuming you went to a deaf school.

  • Lmfao his voice s only funny thing on thus vid

  • @fourDBoy why don't you shut up and listen to his message instead of making fun of deaf people?

  • @manolo578 STFU i am deaf & came from deaf family- Just dont speak on somethin you dont even know about, idiot~

  • @fourDBoy I am hard of hearing and so are my parents, I just happen not to make fun of others who have worse disabilities than me.

  • oh ofc i m deaf too. thank god i m in deaf world because, its my world, deaf world, deaf culture, deaf language. it just feel like all are deafies as same as me.. i can speak and i can sign language.. i use to speak to my family and my family sign me back. if u force a child who are deaf in to hearing world, it will impact on child who will turn drugs, depression etc .. i think u may better to check the youtube. " alone in a hearing world".. 'deaf child" must have enter the deaf world!

  • I don't think so, some Deaf school is NOT good enough education, Hello? you need go back to school to make you realise.

  • ITS ALL ABOUT WHAT DEAF SCHOOL U GO TO. IM DEAF AND I WENT TO WVSD WITCH SUCKS BEC THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY DOING. PICK A GOOD DEAF SCHOOL AND YOUR CHILD WILL DO AWESOME. I DONT THINK HEARING SCHOOLS AND REALLY HELP DEAF CHILDERN. YES SOME DEAF KIDS DO WELL IN HEARING SCHOOLS BUT ITS NOT FOR EVERYONE. DO WHAT U PLEASE. BUT I AGREE WITH U PEEPS SHOULD LEARN ASL IF YA CHILD IF DEAF NUMBER ONE THING TO DO. THE END

  • I was born with some hearing in both ears, wear hearing aids and do very well in normal school. This video is very important for hearing parents to know what to do with their kids. My mother was tossed around schools because my grandparents did not know what to do. My mother has learned from their mistakes and gave me a better future. Hopefully this will help hearing parents give deaf children a better life.

  • Agree with bawb4101. I went through like him. In my opinion mainstreamed have good education.

  • Totally dissagree with this dude. Deafia36 u seriously have issues with hearing people. I was profoundly deaf since birth . I was mainstreamed in hearing school since preeschool with the help of speech class.. Im doing fine.. Got a nice education.... Got a job... No plm..... Its just a different opinion on how u were raised. Thats all... By the. Way ill never vote for u if u run for president... Haha

  • forgot one more add I did take ur vlog to my facebook to show my hearing people.. Thumb up

  • way to go.. High five..

  • agree with you the great.

  • president can not force. supreme court say so. dumb vlog.

  • @angelstar819 It appears that you are judging this vlogger's grammar based on English, whereas his first language is ASL. American Sign Language is a language all its own, with its own grammar and syntax. I have to agree that Deaf children should attend a Deaf school for at least some period of their earlier education. While it's true some do fine in mainstream schools, others do not. It doesn't mean one is isolating their child, but offering education to meet their Deaf child's needs.

  • My friend has a child who is deaf.. that's naturally.. don't worry. My children are all hearing.. Take care easily

  • Part 3: hearing parents and their deaf kids have to work together, when their kids become 13, they maybe decide to go deaf school because more better communication than mainstream school and in deaf school they have deaf teachers. But hearing parents must welcome to deaf school because they want to be sure what sources do deaf teachers teach. Have a bless day.

  • @missexi718 A deaf school is actually the BEST school for any profoundly deaf children. I am happy that I went there. Many deaf people are not happy since they never went to a deaf school because of their parents' bad decision. SAD! You are right about one thing. Any hearing OR deaf student must be MOTIVATED to learn no matter where. Many kids at my old school were dumb because they were not motivated to learn. That was their fault. Teachers are not to blame.

  • Part two, deaf or mainstream schools make no difference, but it is important for deaf and HOH children to stay in school, do th work and get a lot of helps from teachers. Some deaf or hard of hearing ppl say deaf or mainstream schools are suck, well that's their problems because they don't want to learn. They can't blame school system because their ass need to be in school and do the work. Parents expect them to do well. Hearing parents have to learn sign language and teach their deaf too.

  • Hi I am hard of hearing. I agree with you some points but my two cents, I came from mainstream school in new York city. I thanked my mom for helping me to read lips, taught me reading etc, she did not believe in giving me cochlear implant but overall I did very well in school. For deaf ppl, it is on individual. Some of them prefer to go either deaf or mainstream schools but parents try their best to help their deaf kids to fit what are best education for them. Part one

  • That's dumb vlog I ever see. I'm deaf and grew up in mainstream school. You becoming president and send deaf children to deaf school?! Ha ha over my dead body, mas puto!!!!!!!!!!!! MAS PUTO!!!!!

  • @za3721 kma

  • @za3721 rite!! i feel ya!! smh

i grew up in hearing school n i doin it FINE so wat da diffy?

    #justsaying

  • @Imbossy325, Have you visited Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.? You'll love it!

  • @za3721, what is your current career? Just wondering....

  • Oh Shudda UP I support their parent decision for their child and not yours!~ Myself are deaf, If my child are deaf, I'll have them cochlear implant... that's my decision and not your. Got problem with Jesus Christ heal deaf man? Bible teach that God allow that to be happen. God use Doctor to able to have Cochlear implant for them.Otherwise I more support to have Deaf go to mainstream school instead isolate at Deaf Institution. If I were President of United State of America. I'll make it happen.

  • Cool story, bro.

  • it confuse a lot of old clause geneators bec they signs in ASL in first place and write proper english and then when they had to learn english signs. They write in ASL grammar.some students stick to ASL grammar which it still ROCKS to me and deaf community's socialize & more exposes itself a deaf life that is what need to bring out to deaf schools.

  • asl grammar u are using :-) if we understand you, then that is matters! deaf schools' education depends on funds for better education programs etc, but who to blame? not deaf school.defly the teachers, their motivate teaching deaf kids to write and read and have a proper knowledge about english, and literature.they keep on fighting for years years to get kids to signs english,

  • way to go love ur vlog...

  • Sorry, but the education at Deaf schools really suck--just look at how poor your grammar is. You really think deaf children will receive a proper education at Deaf schools? I think not...

  • @angelstar819 i dont blame u for saying thay, i also learn that deaf school must follow hearing school like course education , that mean future deaf school and hearing will be same education, remember thing change future and getting better, for kids better off go deaf school or with good signlanguage teacher, yes my english gramma stink , thank for stop by , also future will be much better, have faith

  • @deafia36 deaf school behind education not same level u know that right?

  • @angelstar819 WTF are you talking about? I went to a deaf school for 12 years and my grammar is not that bad. I have several deaf friends who went to their mainstream schools and their grammars really suck. My point is that it's up to a hearing OR deaf student to learn with MOTIVATION no matter where. So if the student is not motivated to learn, he/she will not get smart. Ridor9th went to a deaf school, too so look how smart he is. I bet that he was highly motivated at school.

  • @angelstar819 As with ANY school the education of that establishment needs to be researched. I work at a Deaf school and let me tell you- the education is top notch. Reading levels are above the norm... and it's all taught in ASL. Who are YOU to say Deaf schools suck. You should be ashamed.

  • Dear angelstar819. As a CODA, child of deaf adult, I have room to speak here. You on the other hand sound like you dont know ANYTHING about this topic. His grammer is not incorrect, in fact the deaf culture would say your's is. Apparently you dont know ANYTHING about ASL, well allow me to give you a quick crash course....ASL is a language of it's own with different structural rules JUST LIKE ANY OTHER LANGUAGE. So before you speak maybe YOU should educate yourself!

  • @angelstar819 The placement of nouns and verbs are not the same as the "English grammer rules" I get so sick of ignorant people who speak on a subject they dont know enough about! It's a beautiful langauge, it's a shame you cant see the beauty in because of your lack of education.

  • @angelstar819, by the way, your written English is not perfect. Get it? A LOT OF HEARING TEACHERS at Deaf School have LOWEST expectations on deaf students. And Why not you become English teacher and work at Deaf School? Think about it.

  • angelstar819. His passion stems from the fact that he realizes the importance of language. Did you ever think that many deaf children are deprived of a 1st language? That's hard to believe cuz language aquisition is so natural. This right to have language, is not always a given for a deaf child. Deaf schools do an excellent job educating children. English is complex. Someone who can't hear the subtle nuances of English will struggle w/ writing, but grammar doesn't define how smart they are.

  • @angelstar819, lolololololol!!! u had me crack the fuck up!!!!! Look at my grammar??? Yeah my grammar is very good.. How do u know that the education at Deaf schools are suck??? Oh, I went to Illinois School for the Deaf and I used to be a honor roll student all my jr hs n high school years.. explain me??? U cant judge anyone who go to the deaf schools who have a poor grammar. We are allllll human beings.. Get real!!!

  • @angelstar819 thats just him, i know deaf people who are managers of companies..its just normal for deaf people to have bad grammer cos in sign language there are no connectives like 'is' or 'of' and stuff..

  • Amen!! I'm agree with you all the way..

  • bravo champ comment
