2. Corruption in America is both materialistic and cultural. Fear of god is all but gone from a predominant part of American population. Religious preachers just pander to the materialsm of the people since they are despised otherwise along with their religion and god. Science and technology has made excessive inroads into American life creating more problems than solving them. Permissiveness has filled the vacuum of a corrupted religion or just atheism.

Corruption is of various kinds. Indian corruption is almost invariably about money since it gives power, and all, whether having plenty or just nearly nil, want more. This is a spiritual degeneration brought abut by mindless import of Western notions of equality. Yet due to the same spiritual strength, India, despite 5 times in population and with just about a quarter of land area, as compared to America, is sweet home to all incdg. all infiltrating in various forms even to destroy its culture.

in order for india to develop, the whole society and mindset should change. corruption at all levels of society should be minimized.

america has corruption but mostly among upper level like bush and CEOs. in india, every level of soceity is corrupt. eg: the slumdwellers don't want to pay tax so they want to remain in the dirty slums and resist any govt intervention to modernize the slum.

china may be communist but their cities and economy are working and looking good.
